Entering the building was equally unnerving. I had to turn my back to the alley while standing in a tiny 3x3 brick enclosure just to punch in the digital code, with no way to see if anyone was approaching. Once inside, the only place to get ice was the “Bar,” which never opened during my stay. The room itself looked beautiful at first glance, and the bed appeared inviting—like a fluffy cloud—until I pulled back the sheets and discovered multiple holes that looked like they’d been chewed by mice. Thick dust and debris under the bed were so concerning that my allergies immediately flared up; it was obvious no one had cleaned properly in a long time. The Roku remote was covered in a heavy layer of gray dust, making it look nothing like its original black color, while the universal remote sat unused on the desk. The recently updated shower was the one nice feature, but the half-glass door failed to contain the water, flooding the bathroom floor and creating a serious slip-and-fall hazard. Before leaving in the morning, I even honked my truck horn to make sure no one had decided to sleep in the bed of my vehicle. Overall, Macon was a deeply disappointing stop on my drive to the coast.

Our stay was so pleasant. We loved Quill and its staff. Obviously everything is automated, but I would have liked a responses to a booking question from a person also. It was an unlikely scenario to be repeated. I would easily stay here again.

It was in a historic district of downtown macon. It was very nice and comfortable.

Nice place. Don’t stay on the alley side 1st floor. Terrible garbage truck noise starting at 4:00 am.

The accent pillow was soaked in air freshener and gave us both headaches. The desk had dust on it and there was only liter of water- for the rate we paid, I believe two bottles of water is Fair. Also, at 8:30 in the morning the door to our room opened suddenly. We are assuming by the Housekeeper? We had a dog traveling with us and we where sleeping in the bed. It could’ve been a disaster. Regardless, our sleep was disturbed. All things considered, I believe a lower room rate is more appropriate.

The location was perfect and very close to Macon City Auditorium. The room was nicely decorated and I appreciated the other amenities. It was close to restaurants and shops as well. I appreciated that the parking was free. The instructions for unloading and accessing the parking deck were incredibly hard to understand because you have to drive down small alleys to find it. They sent lots of written directions but if you don't know what you're looking for, it's really hard to find. It didn't help that it was raining when I was trying to find these alleys and doors and parking decks. A map or photos would be really helpful. The bed linens were clean, but also kinda scratchy. I kept hearing dripping within the walls, probably due to it just being an old building, but it made it hard to fall asleep.

The room was very nice and clean. Just make sure you check your spam folder the day before you checkin so you can get your code to the door since it’s contactless checkin!

Thankfully, my frantic call for help was promptly answered. The staff was extremely patient with a very tired and confused lady. My only complaint was that our room faced an alley: trash pickups at 3:30 am and 5 am were quite unpleasant. The location was wonderful. Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. I would stay there again if a room off the alley is available.

Great, unique place to stay! Quill next door is quaint and the mixologist was great!

We had to leave our car in an alley. Then, go up a stairwell to our room to get our parking code for access to their garage. We were required to park on an upper level, then get our bags and walk down a steep hill in the garage. We then had to walk our bags back to the hotel before going up a steep narrow stairwell. Why not provide the parking code with the room code? The tv remote did not work and requests for assistance were not responded to. All that said, the room was nice and the location next to restaurants is convenient.

The room was so tastefully decorated with extremely high ceilings, and the beds were very comfortable. Our room faced the street, but we had zero noise and exceptional blackout curtains. Parking was easy and close by. I had not been to Macon in 40 years and I enjoyed walking around town.. It's so charming! nothing

    Nice room will return

My daughter only stayed here the night, but she liked the overall vibe of the place. Only issue was we didn't receive an email from the hotel or expedia with check in access codes for checking in, room, and parking. WE were able to call the hotel day of and get access codes for check in and room, but she couldn't find her access code until she got in room after parking.
