Housekeeping was an absolute joke. After the first night housekeeping did nothing except come in and take the towels we used. Did not clean the room, make the bed, or leave any towels. I went to the main desk and told them about the problem and they said they'd notify housekeeping. I asked for new towels and received one which was completely shredded and another which was threadbare. Second day housekeeping did not clean or make the bed despite my complaint the day before. We did get two towels, however, both were threadbare. Again, I complained to the front desk. Third day they finally changed the sheets and made the bed. Last day of housekeeping was okay, however the trash was not emptied. The ice bucket was never touched by housekeeping during the entire stay, never received a new liner and the melted ice just sat there and was never emptied. We had a great time on our trip to LA, and The Wave was the only terrible part of the entire trip. NEVER AGAIN.

Well-located on main road in Manhattan Beach. Very clean property. One annoying aspect - the bottom of bed frame surrounded sheet metal which made noise every time someone tapped the bottom of the bed.

The bathroom smelled like sulfur and the water pressure wasn't great. The breakfast was bare bones, but worked for filling us. If you like cereal, arrive to breakfast early because they do not refill the milk once it's out. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

The towl could get new buyd because they are dirty

The room bed was not in good condition and very uncomfortable. Bathroom was in bad condition. The property needs so much renovation work. Very poor experience with our recent stay.

This hotel facility is okay for in and out, quick night stay. I would give 2 or 3 stars as the highest. The location is convenient to most surrounding necessities. The staff is friendly and helpful however it seems always ran out of towels, and those towels are old, some moles on the ceiling in the bathroom. The AC/Fan machines are filthy with dirt like they haven't clean for years. The bedframe is metal, very interesting.

Super clean, quiet, walkable Starbucks, 31 flavors ice cream, great Mexican food and target store. Love it!

Everything was as perfect as could be, should be notified on hotel site or information about paid parking but still a great experience.

Great location, clean, and comfy. Staff were very helpful and seemed to care.

We just need a place to stay after our cruise before our early flight. We were unable to leave our luggage there while waiting for check in time. We carried our luggage around walking to a restaurant several blocks away. Pool was clean but we didn’t use it. They have a nice room for continental breakfast but they were open when we left at 5:30 am. Room was clean. No tub, just showers. The bed and pillows were comfortable but the metal sheets around the bottom of the bed were very noisy. We could hear the kids in the next room constantly kicking the metal frame. And we accidentally kicked them a few times ourselves. When moving around on the bed the metal frames would make noises. There was a mini-fridge in the room and coffee amenities. No microwave but one available near the front office. The blinds over the window provided privacy but let a lot of the outside night light in - not dark at all in our room. We picked this hotel for being ~4 miles from LAX but little did we know the traffic route still took 30 minutes.

This is my 2nd time staying at The Wave Hotel in Manhattan Beach, and I love it. I came each time for business and fun. Each stay was over 4 days, and this last trip was for almost 2 weeks. I will definitely return again. The area is nice, staff nice, location is great for everything i needed to do, and it was like i was home staying there again. Rooms always clean, staff makes sure to always get you clean towels every morning, updated paint, pool area was great, and there's always a lot of guests coming in because of the location and vibe.

Slept on box spring basically and the plugs didn’t work unless u had the flashing colored lights on.

Room was clean, but shower leaked onto the floor and mold was on bathroom ceiling; room was spacious and comfortable for one night but we would not stay longer; breakfast was good.

The hotel was really nice. Close to the beach than expected. Staff was friendly and the room was nice served exactly what I was looking for. A nice clean safe place to stay.

-appreciate that on a colleagues room, a refund (see below) - mould in bathroom, - tin bed bases - rubbish stacked up all over the hotel and outside the room - staff were either rude or had no idea what they were doing (especially given needed an early checkout

It was a good location, good value and well kept up.

The came on it looked it worked but I had 2 remotes that didn’t work That I count watch tv Chennai’s I liked

Terrible towels, so threadbare . the metal bed stands made a terrible noise if you accidentally bump into them. No lamps, only bright overhead lights, no proper curtains to block the courtyard lights. Location is good and it's not terrible for the price but not great either.
