City Express By Marriott Manhattan Beach

I had to book a room here last minute, and I'm so happy I did. The indoor area is super cute, and it's a short walk away from the beach. Not to mention right next to the Target. I would definitely stay here again.

City Express had a friendly staff, nice clean rooms, and great amenities.

It was very disappointing finding out that the breakfast layout changed. We have been coming to this place for a few years now and the options for breakfast were drastically changed. This year we added an extra night just to enjoy this amenity and stay longer. However we did not know about this change in the hotel. We were disappointed with the very little options served. Other hotels have better breakfast options than what was offered during our stay. The worker Rosa was amazing though. She was attentive and gave great hospitality while there.

Clean room with a good size. We had a double queen jr suite, it had a nice desk / work area, mini fridge, and a sink and counter. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom sink was outside the shower/toilet room which could work well for friends staying together. The 24 hour coffee station and electric car charger were appreciated. Complimentary breakfast had a reasonable number of choices and was ok. Our room was under a walkway so the only windows were totally under a concrete walkway with no privacy, making it very dark and “basement-feeling”.

A very pleasant day was comfortable and felt cozy and Saif love the coffee machine with all the different coffees that was there 24 hours a day. The breakfast was great and staff was very friendly. I would recommend this to anyone the only a few hotel chains that I go to, and this is one of them and it did not disappoint.

The entire stay was relaxing. The room was comfortable and very clean. The staff was efficient an responsive. Breakfast was very nice. Parking was convenient.

Quiet and a good location Bed could have been more comfortable.

The pictures make the property seem clean and as if the building is newer but it is actually an old building and not very clean. Staff is however, very friendly!

- the AC in the units is way too loud, we had to unplug ours during the night because every time it'd start it'd wake both me and my husband up, which made the room a bit too warm but since it was just one night stay it was ok. - our room was right above laundry so we could hear the washer spinning and feel the vibration. Luckily it only happened around 4.30-5 pm and did not bother us as we were getting ready to leave for the night and by the time we came back, it was all quiet. However, I could hear it next morning when we were about to check out - so, again, no problem for us, but it might potentially cause a problem for other travelers. But staff was super nice, property is very cute and bfast was decent, nothing extraordinary but they had omelets, english muffins, yogurts, cereal, so more than plenty. Overall, I would definitely stay again but may be in the cooler months and would ask for room either on 3rd floor or in other part of the building, Overall, 4.7 out 5

clean, spacious, and pleasant. Not by the beach or anything, but convenient location overall.

Not bad but reviews are blown out of the water. They keep a Marriott standard on bare minimum. Parking small by the hotel but more underground.

More options for breakfast.. there was a inconvenience with elevators not working.. we had to take the stair up and down post check out

I will never stay at a KBM resort due to, in my opinion, their unfair cancellation policies.
