Hotel MDR Marina del Rey - a DoubleTree by Hilton

The bathroom floor dirty chipped paint on door and obviously water damage previously in the bathroom ceiling because the patch work repair was not good on the eyes especially for what I was paying for. I immediately wanted to chk out! I went the front desk and asked to be put in another room that at the time no rooms were available but they could spray for smell WTH so I was forced to sleep and stay in a room where I was completely dissatisfied. The AC barely worked w/ a filter hanging out . The next day I decided no point in staying in another room I jst wanted out of this hotel and after walking the grounds and noticing other areas that jst didn’t give me the comfort and feel of a nice clean hotel. This place did not meet my level of comfort all also noticed after the fact, the entry way carpet dirty, and all the oil from cars at front entrance was still on the concrete. Sanitation and maintenance seems to be an issue. There were also wet dirty towels left by the pool Pics are misleading unfortunately I would never book a stay here again.

Had to move room on check in as floors were wet after cleaning. Also had a bad experience when the bartender overcharged me by $6 on food item, he then detached himself from responsibilities and left a colleague to deal with me.

The property was clean, staff was friendly and location was close to the marina. Only suggestion, don't charge guests for bike rental.

The hotel is located within walking distance of so many places! It's perfect!

No iron in room. Air conditioning in room was loud and didn't work well.

With new carpet, some cosmetic repairs and paint, this could be a great spot!

At check-in, nobody informed us that rooms are supposedly serviced only once every two days. Most concerning was the carpet in the fifth-floor hallway, where our room was located. It was raised and uneven in several places, and we nearly tripped over it more than once. This is not just poor maintenance -it is a genuine safety hazard. The gym lacked drinking water, something I would consider a very basic amenity.

Everything was great! Except the microwave. It was very dirty!

We had trouble getting out of the paid parking twice. The gate machine was temprimental.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Location was very handy, lots of eating options close by. Beds were decent and aircon was good. Carpet in hallways needs replacing. Room was a looooooong way from the lift. In general the hotel could use a bit of renovation

Did not eat at hotel, but plenty variety of places to eat near by. Venice and Santa Monica Beach very close. RM. #138 Tthe door and phone needs fixing.

Location In a very bad condition. Just main entrance looks good.

They had welcome cookies, which was a lovely touch. The room was dirty (thick cobwebs on the walls, bathtub filthy, dirty towels). The coffee/cups etc had not been re-filled. We were missing towels for a room with four people. The adjoining door did not lock. The pool area was dirty and the pool water was disgusting.

Just perfect. No complaints whatsoever. Natalie, Siranna and Vennita were professional, present and very kind. Top notch service. Nothing.

We stayed for 2x nights to visit Venice beach. It's a nice area and lots of hotels around. Supermarket next door, nice and convenient plus good amount of restaurants. Short uber away from Venice / Santa Monica. Room was big enough, clean, safe, quiet and did the job. Pool was decent for small kids too. Free parking. Beer at the bar its expensive and not great. Buy some from the supermarket! Room rate was expensive but its LA.
