Spark by Hilton Matteson Chicago I 57

I was at the hotel on Friday, July 31, 26 until Monday, August 3, 2026. I was not able to check in at 3pm due to their system was down due to the storm. The staff was right on top of it. I was about approx. 430 or 5pm I was able to get my room it was on the 2nd floor (201) nice room clean no issues at all. it's just me I had washed and dried the towels and bedding I used before I left. I know I did not have to but i did. The lobby area was beautiful, yes, I would return to hotel and will recommend. I did not realize that was the old LaQunita and my family stay behind the Spark. I moved from Chicago and that was the hotel when I was living in chicago. nice hotel

The front desk attendant was spectacularly inattentive. The room was fine but the shampoo dispenser in the shower was empty. The bathmat was dirty.

There was no coffee or tee in the room, even though a code maker was present. No cook wear was present to use the cook top or microwave. The heating/ cooling system in the room was unable to be set for constant temperature. Bugs present throughout the room. TV was unable to get free programs due to missing HDMI cord.

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The staff was very helpful, the room was clean, breakfast was ok.

The walk okay. I didn’t get a chance to visit the pool

Room had a sewer smell. Told the front desk but they didn’t seem to concern about it. Breakfast selection was very lacking.

Never stayed there and they refuse to give me a refund.

The main bedroom area was fine, besides the floor feeling somewhat sticky/weird with bare feet. The bathroom was our biggest concern. It was very small and not very clean or kept up. Floors did not look super clean like you would want for your stay. Shower curtain was too short from where the rod was hung, so water ended up on floor after shower. There were pieces of tile missing under the sink, paint on the towel rod, an empty tissue box, no garbage can in the bathroom. No place for towels, so our towels were under the TV area in the main bedroom area. It was a place to lay our heads for the night, but I would not recommend if you are particular about your lodging.

The room was clean the outside tho was more of a scare they had busted windows but over all I enjoyed my stay

The location and they allow service animals. The floors were filthy and after the rain on Saturday the 4th our rooms was flooded with water that came in from the leaky seal around the AC unit. The staff promptly got the water up, however we were not compensated, only asked if we wanted to switch rms. I emailed the manager but have not heard anything. I will not be returning or recommending this hotel to ANYONE!!!

Location was good, price was affordable and facilities were good. I wish there was a coffee maker in the room. Breakfast was ok.

No issues with not checking in til 9pm. Very clean and comfortable. Air conditioning didn’t get very cool so it was a warm sleep and no OJ at 730am. The girl at check in was extremely friendly and helped us find a close place for dinner and drinks. Applebees is literally right there.

Couldn't check-in on time. 1 hour after my check in time. Breakfast was Breakfast. Boil eggs, bagel, cereal with no milk, complete mess. No water or sodas in the vending machines.

Location Another customer opened my door while I was laying in my bed. The employee at the fro t desk did not have me registered I that room.
