voco Hotel Napoleon Memphis by IHG

Our room had a handle missing on the bathroom door and hand soap instead of shower gel. No other little amenities like shower cap etc. For the price of the room it was to say the least a disappointment. On check in we were told breakfast was until 11am. I went down 10 min before 10 and was told that breakfast was closed and that it only went until 10. The front desk clerk was not helpful in any way and I had to suggest to her that perhaps she could talk to the chef and ask if he could make an exception given that it was the hotel’s mistake AND it wasn’t even 10am yet. She did so begrudgingly. I would never stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone.

1. Parking for this hotel is horrible. It is done by a 3rd party vendor that is not associated with the the hotel whatsoever. Total disaster when it comes to parking. Oh, be careful also, there might be a Memphis baseball game going on at the same time which limits where you can park. 2. Breakfast is not included, although my receipt says breakfast for 2 included. Food and beverages are, you guessed it, provided by a 3rd party vendor attached to the hotel. Simple drinks and food items were offered which both food and alcoholic drinks were subpar. 3. The hotel looks very boutique(ish) but they are not. The handle on the shower was an issue, the TV was once again horrible. I am not one to do negative reviews y'all but this one really deserves the sub par rating. Will not recommend this hotel to anyone. Sorry but I cannot do to many reasons.

The staff was very friendly and our room was a roomie and very clean

Older building but very well maintained. Staff was friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. No parking associated with the hotel. However there is a convenient garage next door with reasonable cost including in ,& out privileges. The Hotel is in a great location in walking distance to activities. We would stay there again if visiting Memphis.

Beautifully decorated and walking distance to downtown. Would stay at again.

Free street parking weekends only

The hotel staff were very nice. I didn’t care for the hotel parking, but since we were there over the weekend street parking was free and thankfully I was able to find one when I needed overnight. Rooms were ok my bed had a stained fitted sheet

Several things in the room were disappointing. The TV remote did not work, the ironing board slowly collapsed before I could even use it, and the padding and fabric were worn, old, and not properly attached. Most concerning, the door to our room did not lock properly. Room service was also not what was advertised on the website. I chose this hotel specifically because of the website, the updated look, and what was described as an amazing menu. We usually stay at The Peabody but decided to give this hotel a try. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. The lobby may be brand new, but the rooms are old, worn out, and in serious need of attention.

Lovely bright room with corner view. Clean and tidy. The reception staff were excellent, very helpful and cheerful. Convenient parking just next door. Great location for the baseball park, five minute walk to Beale Street and thirty minute walk to Sun Studio. We relocated our stay to this hotel when the Holiday Inn cancelled our booking at very short notice due to their refurbishments running over and were very glad we did as this hotel was much nicer than our last stay at the Holiday Inn.

Location was great if you want to walk to places. We ate great Chinese down the street and had good coffee at the local coffee shop down the street. Staff was awesome and took care of my concerns.

We did one night here on our roadtrip. There is a great Irish pub across the street and 10 min walk to Beale. Bed was comfy

Handy location, staff friendly. Breakfast was great! Good that they lock front door to hotel to make us feel safer in the area First room we got had a bad smell but nice girl on front desk changed it with no hassle. Rooms could use a deep clean but overall fine
