There were some maintenance issues like trash around the pool, damaged furniture in the suite and hot water that took 10+ minutes to heat up. This property is described as “luxury” so I had high expectations. It just seems to suffering from some differed maintenance. I was disappointed. However, the location is awesome and I highly recommend The Alley Pizza. Very delicious! Loved: Staff, vibe, nightly music. Didn’t love: No streaming channels on TV (I admit it, I’m hooked.) Mini bar in lieu of fridge (they did empty at my request). Nespresso machine—I’m a tea drinker but it must be great for coffee drinkers. Thought it was overpriced for the “frayed” luxury. Oh, and the picture on the website of the rooftop pool shows a view of the ocean. That view is now obscured by a bar. If you stand up and walk behind the bar, you can see the ocean.

Nothing only outside decor Everything sorry massive shell of dirty socks or drains or dogs on floor 2/3 terrible moved rooms but still

Great breakfast- coffee and food slightly pricy

Loved the boutique feel and quiet location and proximity to the beach. Having a glass of chilled Prosecco on arrival was a nice touch. Rooms could have been bigger

Only the location All the rest- everything was disappointing from the very start, we got A so called upgrade to a dirty suite, sofa bed (that the children slept on it) was so noisy and uncomfortable, nothing like the pictures, after all that they didn’t clean our room till 17:30 when we were back to the room so we had to leave again so they could clean, if you can call it cleaning. We noted specifically in advance the we are celebrating a special anniversary and was truly shocked. By check out time we got a fine discount, but only after complaining few times, and a discount can’t fix the bed experience

Our stay at The Betsy was one of the highlights of our six week road trip! It is beautiful, elegant and a much better experience than those we had at the large skyscraper hotels. The food was excellent, the room was clean and beautiful, and the location was perfect! The one disappointment was there was no onsite spa. I planned to get a massage and pedicure while there, but it turned out the spa was no longer there. Mistake on hotels.com’s part.

We got to the hotel around noon the day we were to check in just hoping we could drop our luggage off. George at reception went out of his way to offer us water and checked us into our room early. He was extremely helpful with all our questions. The hotel is beautiful and very unique. The staff and the services they provide to their guest is outstanding.

Unfortunately, the biggest issue during our three-night stay was the repeated problem with the elevators. There were several times when we had to use the stairs, and because I have chronic asthma, this was much more than a minor inconvenience for me. I did bring the issue to the hotel’s attention. The front desk was courteous, and I later spoke with the General Manager, Christopher. The hotel waived our resort fees, comped our rooftop lunch, provided breakfast, and offered a future stay at 30% off with an upgrade, which I appreciated. However, for a hotel at this price point, I do think reliable elevator access should be a basic expectation, especially for guests who may have health or mobility concerns. Because the issue continued throughout our stay, it definitely affected my overall experience. The Betsy is a beautiful property with a lot going for it, but I hope management takes the elevator reliability issue seriously because it can significantly impact a guest’s stay. Loved meeting Betsy and Jonathan and I need to acknowledge some of the staff members that made my stay better: Art, Juan, Josimar, Dina and Gustavo!

The hotel is the perfect blend of beachy low key elegance. Loved the piano playing in the lobby. Art, the concierge pointed us to numerous great activities and locations. And a big shout out to Juan, the bellman who made us feel at home from the minute we walked in and through our whole stay. Nothing. No complaints!
