Complaints have nothing to do with amenities or staff. Considering expected upcoming property refurbishing of an older property, prices should have been much cheaper. Bathroom wall tiles, sink, tub and pipes were painted over to disguise age, dirt, maintenance problems. Also, booking only online is confusing bcs the price payed online is not total. Additional $20 per night ALSO required to be paid to desk clerk at property or check in. If booking is for 7 nights, 7x 20= $140.00 more $$... that adds up to a chunk of unexpected change!!! That's a lousy uncompetitive deal agreement system Miami Beach resorts have entered into with online central bookers. Accomodation facilities hotels, long or short term apts, boutique motels, should be able to accept direct walk ins and in-house direct reservations. This from an 30 experience y me. a long time hospitality manager.

Terrible place everywhere was dirty smoke in the hallways and carpet dirty

Please don’t book here, it was bad. I booked the hotel for two nights and I stayed for just one night. That is how bad it was. No one warned us about the construction around the property, the pool was out of order, cockroaches were crawling in the room and inside the mini refrigerator that was not cooling to capacity, the shower head was dripping all night, the tub was clogged, the elevator was the longest I’ve ever experienced, the carpet looked like it was the original since Teddy Roosevelt was in office, and the restroom was so tiny that you bumped your body on the wall and sink to open the restroom door, no room phone to call the front desk, paint drippings were everywhere with unfinished touches. It was a terrible, terrible experience that I took my loss and left for a national chain hotel. Giving it a 1 star is just too much. I would give it zero if I could. The only positive experience was the front desk, Richie. He was a gentleman and very welcoming, but that was the only good thing about the hotel. Ohhh, I almost forgot, the bed was sunk in the middle of the. The federal jails have cleaner floors. I hope Hotel.Com can issue me a refund for this horrid stay.

The place was located towards the back, and it seemed a bit creepy since I checked in late at night. The light switch wasn’t working, the lock wouldn’t lock from the inside, and there was an unpleasant smell. I barely managed to sleep. Thankfully, it was just for one night. I didn’t feel very safe there.

Hallways were dark and smelly. No overhead lighting in the room. Pools were closed. Didn’t want my bare feet to touch the floors in the room. Overall didn’t feel clean at all.Had to buy shower shoes to utilize the shower. No housekeeping service at all. Construction barriers around the perimeter. Rode the elevator once and never again because it was terrifying. Unhoused persons laying all around the property (okay, nothing against them) but there’s a long dark walkway to get from parking to front doors with no visible security. Built in 1946 and it shows. Staff was very nice! They seemed as though they were attempting to make the best out of a crappy situation. We were told that the property will be shutting down soon for much needed renovations. I would like to see it when they reopen. The property sits directly on the beach so I imagine it’s going to amazing after renovations.

The front desk staff was friendly and the check-in process was smooth, so I appreciate that. Unfortunately, the room itself was a completely different experience. The room was very outdated and did not feel clean. There was visible mold on the windows and behind the curtains, and the room had a strong musty smell. My daughter has a mold allergy, and both of us experienced sinus irritation shortly after being in the room. The beds were extremely noisy, and the walls were so thin that we could clearly hear conversations and other noises from the hallway and neighboring rooms throughout the night. We did not feel comfortable staying there. We arrived after a late flight around 1:15 a.m. and, after only a few hours, decided we could not remain in the room. We checked out around 6:00 a.m. and booked another hotel for the rest of our vacation because we felt the room was not suitable to stay in. I took multiple photos of the room, including the visible mold and the overall condition, to document why we could not stay. The photos clearly show the issues we experienced. What disappointed me the most was what happened afterward. This was a five-day reservation, so it was a significant expense. Expedia contacted the hotel to request a refund, but the hotel manager never responded. As a result, my refund request was denied. I understand that policies exist, but when guests check out just a few hours after arriving because of the c

Under construction

They're closing for renovations soon. Right now, it's a great deal for having a clean affordable place with perfect proximity to the beach. The staff was really nice. The room was great.

Front desk staff very rude and watching football match. The room I stayed first no beach view and air conditioner not working. After 10hr travel with family and kids it’s been terrible exp. After 4hrs I got another room where ac atleast working. Pool not open, lift operating at snail pace going to 4th floor will take 1-2 min we mostly used stairs. Overall for the price $200 per night for this service and facility is not worth it.

Rooms a lot smaller than pictured . There was a giant closet and a tiny bathroom . Elevator didn’t work for entire weekend stay it moved super slow . Also was not advertised that you have you pay for parking meter all day daily until after 11.
