Grand Texan Hotel And Convention Center

The most worst hotel experience I’ve ever ever experience. Water wasn’t working. AC kept turning off the manager of that facility is the most worse didn’t want to return my deposit and it was $100 deposit cash that’s what they said and they did not want to return that I spent $500 there for two weeks roughly now they’re keeping 600 because of the deposit but I stayed there cause I’m working in Midland. I will not recommend coming here.

The Door Locked, it had hot water, Riff Raff.

Clean rooms, towels changed, although parts were under renovation there was no fault with those that were. The owners were friendly and approachable. I had no problem getting my deposit back. I would definitely stay there again at the right price. N/A

They did not offer breakfast

Nothing Dirty sheets stained with body fluids, smoke alarm missing batteries and weed stench, old decrepit mattress just outside the room. The owner was rude from the jump. The front desk guy said we would get a refund in the morning from the owner but owner refused the next morning even though we spent a total of 3 minutes in the rooms. Unsafe outside with not enough lighting. Pictures on the website are from a different time before this place went downhill. Total catfish of a property stealing people’s money.

Didn't stay . Showed up and no one to check me in. The staff member was arrested and the clerk/ manager had to go to jail to get all the property keys back. Want a refund Unprofessional and a little run down

Nice friendly staff No laundry room

The price of a room The receptionist was rude, instead of handing me my Id and card back. He threw it. There was an odor inside the lobby. When I resched my room. The outside lights were broken, leaving the area in complete darkness. The overall cleanliness of the room was poor. Trash was still in the bin, the restroom looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned in a while. I refused to stay in a place like that and made accommodations elsewhere.

Price vs room

The place was very beautiful and very safe I paid for a decent price for my room, it wasnt horrible but it wasn’t cheap either of a price, but the man made me still drop 100 for a deposit and when i asked if they had a pool and if we could use while we stayed, he said he had to charge more on top of that for pool use, and room was clean but we had stains all over the bed, on top of that out of everything, we were definitely not happy with paying more money just to not use a pool and still have stains on a bed on our stay.

Price vs stay was acceptable Waited 3 hrs to check in, no staff was available, maintenance staff tried to charge me $ 100 cash deposit to get my room that was already paid for when check in showed up they tried to charge me $100.00 deposit . Was told even though hotel advertised breakfast it wasn't for online guest only walk ins . Place could really be something but first need to understand what customer service is . Pretty weak in that department

I did have to check out earlier than planned, but overall the staff was respectful and kind from the beginning. It may not seem like the place for you at first, but honestly, it might surprise you.
