We stayed here for July 4th to get away from the city fireworks noise. I don’t know if they jacked up the price because of the holiday, but after taxes and an additional $50 “pet fee” (why?), we paid around $550 for 1 night here. That is my main complaint-the exorbitant price point for what you get. The hotel itself is fine- very clean room, nicely appointed (nothing fancy or 5 star but more than adequate), very friendly staff. Decent complimentary breakfast, nice view of the bay. The cons- right off the freeway and far from town, walls are extremely thin and we could hear everything going on in the room next door. The couple staying there apparently had to catch a red eye or something or woke us at 4am packing and making all kinds of noise. When we finally fell back asleep, the fire alarm shocked us awake (and terrified our little dog) at 8am. Manager said someone was smoking in their room. Also, we booked through a 3rd party site and because of this there was no option to let the hotel know we were coming with our dog (we were not aware this was required). They only let you stay on the 1st floor with a dog, and that floor was full. The manager kindly made an exception for us. The hotel was full of dogs-so if you are not a dog person, maybe choose another place. Our stay was unfortunately not the relaxing get-away from the city we anticipated. When I checked out I mentioned all this to the manager when he asked how our stay was, and he was very professional and apologetic.

Great breakfast, helpful staff.

I loved that we had a little patio off the room towards the water. Loved the wine and cheese offered from 5 to 7.

Beautiful location with a cheerful staff and excellent amenities. We look forward to returning soon!! N/A

The location was perfect for my needs! I loved the location and walkways nearby along the lagoon. I would have liked fresh fruit and yogurt added as a breakfast option.

Breakfast was very good. But the Staff was phenomenal--I have never had such an accommodating experience with a hotel. I will definitely be going back.

The room was clean but did have an odd smell. Parking was difficult one day because of an event but the staff was helpful. The breakfast was good. This hotel is right off the interstate which is convenient but it is also loud - you can hear it at night. Overall the stay was fine, but probably wouldn’t stay there again.

We stayed on the lower level and a patio with chairs looking at the water. The room was spacious and clean. The hot water was fantastic, with plenty of pressure. The breakfast in the morning was extensive, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, veggie frittata, scramled eggs, bacon, sausage, and Belgian waffle maker! There is also a bar where you can ask for your favorite coffee, Espresso, Cappuccino, or Latte, to be made on site! Our favorite amenity were the bikes available to use! There is a bike path behind the Acqua that you can take to Sausalito(3.5 miles) and if you want more of an adventure, follow to and over the Golden Gate Bridge to Downtown San Francisco! There's a wonderful activity trail that goes along Crissey Field all the way to Embarcadero. After exploring San Francisco, catch a Ferry back to Sausalito and take in the views!

Everything! The location to Golden Gate and the presidio was so close! It’s a beautiful property right off the highway 101 on a beautiful body of water. They offer wine and cheese daily from 5-7pm and warm cookies at 7pm, free breakfast daily. The room was lovely and the hotel was beautiful! Even though it’s literally right on the highway, they’ve managed to soundproof it pretty well.

However, the biggest issue was the staff and overall attitude, which really affected our experience. We were traveling with a child and were initially placed in a very noisy room. Be careful when booking — the hotel is located right next to a highway, and some rooms get significant road noise. I explained that it would be impossible for us to sleep in those conditions, but instead of resolving the situation, we were told we could switch rooms only by paying extra. This felt very unfair — in situations like this, I believe a hotel should offer a solution or upgrade, not force guests to pay more. We also had a very unpleasant situation with the EV charger. After our Tesla finished charging, my husband returned the adapter, but later I was surprised to receive an email saying we hadn’t returned it — and we were charged for it not once, but twice. I called the hotel multiple times to resolve the issue, and the staff were rude and insisted the adapter had not been returned. Only after three calls did they finally admit it was their mistake. Unfortunately, the issue is still not fully resolved — the charges have not yet been reversed, and I have not received any confirmation by email. Overall, while the hotel itself is good, the service and handling of issues were very disappointing.
