Tamalpais Motel

This is a VERY budget hotel with few amenities and lots of freeway noise. As long as you can accept that reality, this is an ok place to stay. The room was clean. There was no explanation of how to log into wi-fi (had to call to get password). There was a TV, small fridge and microwave (which I didn't use). The bathroom was small and cramped but also clean. There was no place to set down my bathroom supplies. Would not stay here again, but the circumstances forced it and I was able to get a tolerable night's sleep despite the freeway noise.

Excellent location! Loved the vintage vibes of the exterior, room was VERY modern and spacious. Great deal too!

Location - to a friend. Noisy next to major highway. No curtains. Thick curtains would be good improvement to dampen road noise.

The Bed was comfortable, the room tempature was good. The thing I thought that was funny, the closet had an Ironing board, but NO Iron? LOL The bathroom could use to be updated, particularly the Shower & sink. I would have liked a Blow dryer for my hair.

The accommodations were quaint. Close by to local stores. Room was clean and the costs was low but satisfying well kept.

Good, solid, basic, clean motel. Location was excellent for the event I was attending.

we were gone! we stayed for 4 days, we had to ask to clean the room!

The bed was super comfortable. The windows are very thick and have solid wood blinds that close completely blocking out the light and muffling the noise from the nearby freeway. This place was perfect for us. If you need a place to stay on a budget that is close enough to Muir woods and the beaches north of San Francisco, this is a great option. It was clean, the showers had good pressure and got nice and hot. There was a good sized refrigerator for a hotel room, more than a tiny mini fridge I've seen in lots of them. Each room had a microwave as well.

From the outside you can tell the hotel had not been updated. The place just looked old and could have used a coat of paint. The interior was very modest and also needed some TLC. I spotted insects multiple times during my two night stay and one cockroach on my last day. Yuck! A lamp on the dresser near the bed would have been nice. The staff was nice enough to provide me extra towels. Good enough for me, but would have been embarrassed had I brought my wife here. Conveniently located to gas stations.

It was fine for the price. Nothing special but clean, did not smell bad and the bed was fine. Ok if you are just looking for a inexpensive place to stay for the night. Restaurants about 1/2 mile down the road.

This is a nice motel and certainly is very much worth the price. The beds were very comfortable and there was a microwave, a mini fridge and a small table and chair along with an additional fan provided in the room. This was useful because of the traffic noise.
