Mill Valley Inn

The breakfast was outstanding. The bed was comfortable; the room quite small given the high booking price. Overall, I would not stay here again--I could go to a restaurant for a fine breakfast.

Property beautiful & walkable Limited available parking. No elevator to second floor. Had to carry heavy luggage up steep flight of stairs.

Staff was wonderful. Wine and cheese was excellent. Breakfast was fantastic. In our building, there was no artwork on the hallway walls, elevator was bland tan, but that should not sway you because the rooms were beautiful. One electrical outlet didn't work but there were plenty of other accessable outlets. Parking was great, covered. Location for walking around Mill Valley and access to Muir Woods was perfect.

This little hotel is tucked away in the middle of cutest little town. We chose it because of its proximity to Muir Woods. We didn't have the opportunity to explore the little shops and eateries, but there are many options. It is also super close to Sausalito. We had a nice balcony that looked out at the back of the property with huge trees. We only stayed one night, less than 24 hours, but the breakfast spread was better than any I have seen. Lox and bagels, quiches, fresh fruit, coffee, pastries, yogurt, juices, and nice tea selection. We would definitely stay there again.

Location excellent. Staff excellent. Breakfast outstanding. Room was old, smelled terrible, and bathroom was very old and needs renovation. Furnishings were shabby and in bad condition. Included in above

The receptionist was very nice and accommodated late check out due to my schedule. Best location in Mill Valley. Very walkable.

I planned a proposal to my girlfriend and asked the staff to help with flowers and champagne when we got to the hotel. When we got back there was a beautiful flower arrangement and champagne just as I requested the staff were also very sweetly excited about the proposal. The room was nice and had a nice view outside. There was complimentary breakfast and cheese/wine-all very nice additions.

Overall, we enjoyed the property, but at around $500 per night, we expected much more attention to cleanliness and detail like in 2024. In its current condition, the experience felt closer to a $350-per-night value. With improved housekeeping, this could be a truly wonderful place to stay.

We had a lovely time at Mill Valley Inn. The balcony room was wonderful and we enjoyed the breakfast and wine reception. It was a perfect spot for a short weekend away!

Beautiful location. Clean.

The room was extremely well appointed and quiet with an exceptional view of the redwoods off the balcony. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the location around the corner from downtown MV was superb. We simply adored our stay at the MVI. In all honesty, there was not a thing we did not like.

Nice breakfast in the lounge and wine on the patio each evening Only negative, the bathroom was tired and needed updating.

This was a perfect little boutique hotel right in downtown mill valley. The room was great with comfy bed and pillows. They had amazing comolimentart wine and cheese in the evening and impressive breakfast in the morning. Im only sad I wasn't staying for more then one night. Would 100% stay again when in the area.

Breakfast was fabulous, way more than expected and the staff would make espresso drinks upon request. All of the staff were friendly. the location was perfection. It is super close to the Dipsea stairs, as well as downtown Mill Valley. Fridge stopped working, when we mentioned it to staff at checkout they said that it had been moved to be on its own switch. they acknowledged that a sign/note needs to be posted.

Room was clean and amazing. Staff were friendly and helpful.
