The whole experience was telling of my experience in Milwaukee…I came for a triathlon, but was so enamored by the whole city-the architecture, the cleanliness, the parking, the restaurants…my whole long weekend was as pleasurable as possible. I highly recommend the Dubble Dutch AND Milwaukee! Thanks to the staff and the management for a truly great experience. 10/10

This was a unique and fun place to stay! The room was very clean, and it was interesting to see the details both in the room and around the hotel. There are no staff onsite, but they were very responsive and helpful when I called to ask a question. The building is over 100 years old, so you will likely hear other people walking around above you if your room is on the first or second floor. We really enjoyed the cocktail bar downstairs and would recommend getting a reservation. The location was close enough to walk to many things, but out of the way enough that it was quiet at night. I would definitely stay here again!

The property had a cooler vibe around it that any name brand hotel. It is a small true boutique hotel. No real staff on site. You will have to be adventurous in finding amenities close to the hotel as there is no one to ask for advice. Thank goodness for the internet. This hotel is not in the central entertainment/restaurant areas but they are not far. It is very close to the attractions on the lake

Great historic property. Beautiful. The WiFi wasn’t strong enough.
-
Good communication and detailed information about the property. Room was very clean, bathroom newly renovated and comfortable bed. Will gladly stay here again.

Clean, easy to access, great location and relatively inexpensive for a downtown location

The hotel is considered an independent hotel, so it's more like an air bnb. The location was good for walking to the river, the theater district and plenty of food options. We stayed in the classic room and it was comfortable for the 2 of us. The room was furnished with a bed, 2 chairs, a mini fridge & a kuerig, which was sufficient. The space could've used a small table/desk to make it more comfortable. The parking was reasonable & convenient. We liked the character of the mansion which is why we chose the property.

We had a really enjoyable stay here. The neighborhood is beautiful and filled with great architecture and fun places to eat and drink, very close to the lake. Check in was really easy and we enjoyed having a drink at the lovely bar downstairs. The HVAC was excellent considering the age of the building and bathroom was very nice. Very comfortable bed and the building itself is beautiful and historic. The main reason I’m giving it a 4 instead of 5 is the value for the room. It was pretty tiny and the charge for parking on top of this would make it not a good deal at all. We parked on the street instead with no problem (always found something within a block) and completed the simple online form with the city for three free overnight passes. The room did not have enough cups or coffee pods for a three night stay. Overall, a good experience despite these minor issues. We would definitely stay again, but would probably search for a better deal first.

Very clean room, nice bed…I called in for the code, the lady was Very nice and sent the code immediately. Great place to spend the night.

Super conveniently located, easy to access, and great sized room. It is an “invisible service” location so there is no staff on location

Business friendly. Perfect for a solo traveler

Dubbel Dutch is a beautifully restored older building on a quiet street a short walk from busy Wisconsin Avenue and Lake Michigan. We chose the hotel because of its proximity to the Milwaukee Art Museum--a 5-minute walk. The hotel retains its charm while being thoroughly updated and comfortable. The amenities were first-rate, and the hotel staff, although not on-site, were responsive and helpful. Easy check-in, easy parking (additional charge, but so convenient), easy checkout. Can't recommend it highly enough!

It was beautiful. I spoke with someone on the phone who was friendly and answered all my questions. There were several places to eat nearby. Wonderful experience overall. The parking was a little confusing & I needed to call for help with my questions, but that was a great experience. Other than that there was nothing I didn't like.

Great location, well maintained, friendly staff

This small converted mansion house was great for the proximity to Summerfest and scooter availability. Location was most important for this trip to MKE. The hotel had a small restaurant and bar open at 5 pm. We never dined there as we had so many other options. This was a come and go type of hotel for the independent traveler. Parking was convenient too. Definitely would stay again

Location. Definitely not worth the price. When we got in the a/c in the room was off, so the inside temperature was 89 F; not great after a 4 hours drive and a very hot day. We turn on the a/c above the bed and after a while condensation water starts dripping on the bed. So the choice at night was either a damp bed or a hot room given that the window a/c unit was very loud. We contacted the staff via Booking but didn’t reply until after checkout, so not very useful. Additionally, the bathroom door was very loud when closing, and you could hear the people upstairs whenever they walked, so we didn’t get any good sleep. Definitely not a good stay at all. It’s just an old house.

Beautiful manor house converted into a hotel, with a good lobby bar in an exceptional setting. This is a self-stay property which worked really well and is very convenient - feels more like a BnB than a hotel. The room was clean, spacious, comfortable and oozed with charm - just like the rest of the property. Wifi is excellent, and parking was convenient. Great location, close to the lake with easy access to town. Beware that there is no elevator so request a lower floor as needed.

Charming place to stay in a lovely location. The bar, Agency, was a delight to have there in the lobby.

Loved it! Clean and convenient. The room was big. The bathroom was clean and renovated. Love the concept. We’ll be back again.
