Sonesta Essential Minot

I have stayed at the property 4 or 5 times since January and appreciate the value of the room-pricewise and ease of booking. My past three stays, I have been unhappy with my experience as there has been issues that have not been addressed by the facility. The juice machine has been broken and out of order since at least January 1, my room had a heater issue on one stay and I had to be moved to another room once I was checked in and two of my last three stays I have not been able to be checked out upon my departure because of apparent computer issues. I have also been disappointed with your breakfast choices and find that you do not accommodate guests with special needs (i.e. sugar-free pancake/waffle syrup, sugar-free juice and other gluten-free options). Another thing that would improve guest satisfaction would be to install or make available night lights in each room and provide at least two towels per occupant per night.

Night desk clerk was helpful and willing to go out of his way to resolve issues. The bathroom countertop and the toilet were not cleaned, some of the folded towels were dirty when taken for use. There was no housekeeping available on Sunday night to remedy the problem when we found it.

Cleanliness is mediocre. I was there 4 nights. No room service ever. No garbage dumped. No clean towels. No restock of coffee or cups. I do not plan to stay here anymore on my business travels. Obviously this property is going downhill. See above.

The Hotel was fairly updated. Pool and Hot Tub were closed. No soap in the Soap dipenser by the bathroom sink and in the shower. Told the front desk person they were empty but nobody came to fill them. Caulk aboud the shower was all coming out. Will not stay in this hotel again.

How when I first got the the guy up front didn't acknowledge I was there for like 15 minutes and he was sitting in the office. Failed to tell us that the pool was closed prior and was not on their website that it was closed. That my room heater was broken and when we moved to the room he put us in a room someone was already in. And was told that the manager would contact me when they get in and was never contacted

the heat in the room had a mind of its own so it was warmer than it was set to, the pool was closed with no notice posted at the desk, milk was spoiled The waffle batter had clearly turned bad as well!

Very clean with a lot of space. Staff was very helpful and kind. Good breakfast. Heater in room did not function correctly.

Breakfast was good except for the last day, there was no coffee???? The pillows were not good at all!! When I asked for more pillows they said they didn't have any??? Comfort is what you expect most at a Hotel/Motel. Everything else was great!!!

Everything about it we were happy

An extra $75 pet fee. Room was in rough shape.

Easy check in/out. Good location. It's a reasonable value for a one night stay. The bed was rock hard and not very comfortable.
