Service in the coffee shop and restaurant was extremely slow

The hotel property and room was fantastic, the check-in and check out process was efficient. The only complaint I have is the service at the restaurant and coffee shop downstairs, they had one person behind the counter at the coffee shop and there was such a long line backed up, it took 20-30 mins to actually order and get drip coffee! We had reservations for 6 people at the restaurant and got our food 1 hour and 30 minutes after we sat down while the entire restaurant emptied out. People who came in after us were finished eating and had left before us. So, it was poor management and/or service for both situations~

Always clean and enjoyed the live entertainment in the lobby. Pool and bar on the rooftop was a great experience.

Overpriced for the location, beach access is tricky and timely, the shower doors don't close and the ice machines don't work and bread service is $9. But a swanky hotel.

Reception staff unfriendly. Pools basic with very limited availability of sunbeds and umbrellas. Room cleaning very basic and inconsistent.

Very nice resort Resort fees! Just charge me for the room. These charges are a joke and make the Marriott look like a robbery.

Did a solo trip and I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, the amenities, the restaurants on-site, and the shuttle service!

This resort is amazing. Clean, friendly, RT pool, breakfast from 7am-2pm. Luxurious and accommodating

The rooftop pool was amazing. We got up to the pool at 10am to claim a couple chairs because it’s not huge. Food and drinks opens up at 11am. Tuna nachos were 10/10! It is its own little world at this resort. It’s huge and they shuttle you around to different areas. It’s incredible and it’s just a couple minutes from the beach on the shuttle. And the side doors to this hotel actually drop you right into the cute little area of Baytown Wharf. We will be back. This was a wonderful stay and sooooo family friendly.

We loved everything about the resort. The room was clean and spacious . The view of the harbor was beautiful. I wish we could've stayed longer.

We loved Hotel Effie and won’t stay anywhere else now. Our trip to Florida began at the Island Resort which was a huge letdown. It was dirty and extremely rundown. We were not comfortable staying there so after some research I came across Hotel Effie and booked it right away. Immediately upon pulling up to the hotel, we could tell it was clean and well maintained. They have valet service and the lobby is stunning. The check in was smooth and easy. Our room was clean and the overall feel of the space and hotel in general is luxurious. The view was beautiful with golf course and bay in sight. Food from the full restaurant was a letdown but they have different options on the rooftop pool/bar. We truly enjoyed our stay and will return. The only area of improvement would be the food flavor and quality.
