Brooks Street Motor Inn

A property past its prime, maintenance needed. The vinyl flooring was bubbling up and was just stapled down. But it was was clean, and the beds were comfortable, there was a little noise from traffic but otherwise good, especially for the price we paid.

The staff is always super nice and very attentive! Great rates, and is a classic stay for us! The ac works amazing, good tv choices, and great location to everything!

This was one of the better motels in the medium price range we stayed at until we tried to shower the following morning. Water pressure was low and the shower did not work at all. Had to settle for a pta bath. The help didn't offer any apologies, just said they would look into it!

Location was perfect and easy to find. Front desk personal was very friendly and helpful. Room was nice.

Rooms were very dated. Creaky floors and old carpeting. Definitely low budget option.

As soon as I checked in I went up to my room it had a nasty smell in it, everything was extremely outdated and old. Beds were uncomfortable. I didn't even stay there. I just checked out right then and there.

The motel was dumpy. Appeared as if the bedspreads and currtains hadn't been updated for 30 years (totally thread baren). Staff was friendly and safe location but nothing really good to say about the room itself unfortunately.

The room smelled like marijuana, there were tears and stains on the carpet, we found 3 earwigs, the beds were very uncomfortable. However, the air conditioning worked great and the staff were wonderful and friendly.

Room was cool despite hot hot weather

The staff was all wonderfully helpful and nice. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. However, the wifi didn't work and the room curtain didn't close all the way.

As any 1 star hotel there were positives and negatives. The staff are ALL terrific! Friendly, helpful, and attentive to their duties. The rooms are awful. The carpet was VERY visibly FILTHY! If you have infants or toddlers, PLEASE do NOT bring them to this hotel!!! My feet were pure black from walking on the carpet. The beds were brick-hard. I sleep on a firm mattress at home but the mattresses at the hotel were beyond brick-hard. Curtains were full of holes, coming of off the rod, missing the hardware to put it back on the rod. Track of widow had a dowel that was huge in circumference but way too short to lock the window. It was like advertising to passerbys that the room was not secure. I was told I has a walk-in shower. It was not. I could not bathe the entire three days I was there. I was also told I had a jetted tub. Also not true. Tub is very old and has strips of peel n stick nonslip grips in the bottom. If you've ever seen these from the 70's, you know how they attract bacteria that can't be cleaned. I was told I had a full size refrigerator. Again, not true. It was a taller mini fridge. The room was infested with earwigs and spiders. I called staff in once to kill a large, aggressive housespider, a Hobo Spider. No coffee makers in rooms. Coffee is in air pumps, which is cold, at the office. The office is also the only place for ice. The rooms are in different buildings NOT where the office is. The mattresses are very dirty. Large,dark,visible stains on them.

Everything was all worn out. Bed was hard squeaky floors were squeaky pillows look like they were from 1900 not very plush pretty dirty. The bathroom was clean.
