Motel 6 Mitchell I-90, SD

Not clean, not maintained, ad an unclean stench and the towels were molded when unfolded

This is an older facility. Paint on walls were chipped in areas. Smelled good seemed clean. It worked for what I needed it for.

Worst Motel 6 property I've ever encountered.

Run down, needs maintenance. Even for a Motel 6 it was pretty low-rent.

Slept well

Basic room.

We slept in our clothes on top of a blanket we brought from home. We took all the bedding off when we arrived and found a crusty blanket with holes.. also found hair and weird dead black smeared bugs under and on the mattress. They weren't bedbugs.. The bathroom had long gross black hair in the drain of the shower. I wanted to contact the company and tell them about our stay. I have stayed in Motel 6's before, but never like this...and I am NOT a motel/hotel snob...but just being clean should be the very least you would expect from ANY place you stay. The ONLY positive thing was.. it was late and I was tired, I forgot my wallet at the front desk. It was filled with credit cards and money. The young man at the front desk returned it to me with everything in it.

Staff was nice. The room was not horrible but leaves a lot to be desired. Air conditioner did work. It's just a rundown hotel. It's definitely not for anyone looking for a great place to stay. It's a last resort and only because you don't want to pitch a tent. It will do in a pinch. You get what you pay for.

Worst place I’ve ever stayed! Dirty, run down, and I wouldn’t have been surprised is there was a chalk outline on the floor when I walked in! Looked like the door to my room had been kicked in numerous times.

Don’t stay here! It’s a dump! Not cared for at all and definitely not worth the money.

The entire property needed updating. My bathroom looked like the walls were moldy. The shower light was broken with the filament hanging above my head. Looked like an electrocution waiting to happen.

The rooms were clean but out tv didn't work and the microwave handle was broken, pool was out of service 😔. I do recommend they replace towels with regular size bath towels otherwise we had a pleasant stay

Abandoned swim pool full of debris and growing weeds. Broken sidewalks. Bath fixtures, closet hangers, and other metal items in room corroded. Grubby looking bath towels. Surprised Motel 6 even affiliated with this sad looking place. Motel completely does not fit online description.

It’s a place to stay and sleep that’s about it.

Pillows on bed were a joke! They did bring us some better ones upon request. Pool is down and standing water in it stinks. Very run down and seems to be in a questionable area. I would not stay there again. I would advise others to stay most anywhere else.

Wished they had continental breakfast ?

It was filthy with piles human hair in the shower drain and near the beds. This place should be delisted from the Motel 6 franchise.

Where would you go at night trying to find a place to live and nothing is available online for next 80 miles. It said breakfast available, nothing was there. No coffee was available in room or in office/breakfast. Very scary place to live. All junkies looking at you when you go from car to room and room to car. Avoid this place!!

Room small but comfortable. Staff very very helpful. For our extra needs
