Moab Gateway Inn

Only a 3 rating. This motel is in desperate need of cleaning and upgrading. Worn carpeting, security lock didnt work on our room, bathroom tub stained from lack of cleaning, shower head hasnt been cleaned in years, bathroom vent sounds like a jet engine, no bar soap provided the first night, microwave in hallway or lobby (very inconvenient).

Our room appeared to be clean, but there was a stale odor both days of our stay, even after the room had been cleaned. The shower walls were peeling, the sheets were quite thin, and the curtains had visible stains and were torn. The lamp shade was also in poor condition. Overall, the room felt like it needed some updating and maintenance. We also met a woman at breakfast who was traveling alone. She told us she had asked an employee for help carrying her suitcase to the second floor since there is no elevator. According to her, the employee responded with an attitude and seemed clearly unhappy about helping her. While we did not personally witness the interaction, it was disappointing to hear. The hotel has potential, but the maintenance issues, stale odor, lack of an elevator, and health department rating of the breakfast area are things I think future guests should be aware of before booking.

Only stay here if you’re desperate and need to sleep. I did not shower as the tub looked like it needed to be replaced. There is one microwave and one coffee maker for all guests to use. It was a very expensive 12 hour stay.

The hotel definitely needs a lot of improvements. Doors can't be fully shut. You can hear people in the next room & lobby. The bathroom vent is extremely loud!

Very good for the price. Bed comfortable, bathroom and room clean and somewhat updated. Lobby and entrance are clean but needs a renovation. Didn’t stay for breakfast.

Adequate for a quick overnight

Place was clean and quiet. Pool was not in any sort of working order. I left happy.

No one was at the front desk when I came in, and I noticed it was the same for other who came in after me. I had to ring a bell to get someone to come to the desk. While the motel is old, it was clean and close to town and nearby restaurants. Breakfast offering was fair.

clean room, nothing special. dirty outside. mattress had springs in it, very uncomfortable.

Availability & access to main road The front desk was rather rude despite me trying to be cordial, no pool or spa, looks like its been that way for years, parking is poorly lit, parking is jus a mess, room was ok, could use less fluff on the bedding top, bring your own toiletries, toilet lid is made for small children, good luck if your a medium to larger person, 28" TV is a joke

It was close to Arches National Park Run down, the rooms are very dated, the advertised pool and hot tub were long empty with weeds growing. The coffee and breakfast were terrible, one morning breakfast was not prepared and so I had to buy breakfast. The side door out of the building didn't close and had no lock. A truly terrible experience, would never recommend. I was very uncomfortable there

We stayed in September, which is the most popular time of year for moab. So the price was inflated. Especially since we were passing through and just needed a room for the night. It was still the cheapest room, but still too pricey for my taste.

Had to book another hotel because there was nobody at the front desk. We called, we waited for half hour Nothing. We were tired and needed to get some rest. Didn't know what else to do except call another hotel. Luckily we were able to find something not too far away. But on this hotel, unacceptable ?

It was the cheapest rate available but I wish I'd spent the extra $20-30 for a different place. It did feel clean and free from pests. Breakfast was mediocre, even for hotel breakfast. Furniture is quite dated and worn. No elevator. Outdoor areas are dilapidated and messy.

Shower ceiling was covered in mold, the staff didn’t care, i can’t believe they offer that poisoned room to people, i still have chest pain because of the mold symptoms and probably will have to go check myself and do some exams

Very close to arches and downtown Pool was out or order

I called ahead to make sure the people on the front knew we were coming into town super late. When I got there I rang the bell 4 times until someone finally answered and shows up. They were huffing and puffing at me when I told them I was checking in. Made it feel like an inconvenience to them.
