Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Mobile

When we arrived we were told they were full despite us having a paid reservation. There were three different groups trying to check in, all with reservations. They eventually found us a room with a bed; but parts of the ceiling of the shower had fallen onto the shower floor making it completely unusable. The hotel in general was in complete disrepair. I expect FAR more from Fairfield Inn. This was an embarrassment for them! We will never stay here again

We stayed for the weekend while helping our daughter move into college. Our bed had blood spots on the sheets, we booked the suite and only received 1 set of towels. The toilet was broken from the first day, and maintenance never came to fix it. We ended up buying our own towels and bedding from target in order to be comfortable! The hallway, elevator, and the stairs smelled like cigarettes and urine, and the pool was closed. By far one of the worst Marriott’s

Staff was super helpful. We were disappointed with overall appearance of hallways. Wallpaper torn, carpet stained, elevator marked up. Room carpet seemed damp and sticky. On the positive side we weren’t able to access our room due to door/card reader issues and staff went above and beyond to help fix the problem which helped make up for disheveled appearance of the facility.

Breakfast was decent and well-stocked. Location was perfect for our needs. The hotel seemed like it had been fairly new and nice but maybe had a recent flood. When we first got there, only one of our rooms had actually charged properly, so I had to contact booking.com customer service to get that cleared up and get the 2nd room. The first room was really musty, and many things had obviously been water-damaged. Dressers and other wooden surfaces had bubbled, there was mold on some trim, the carpet was damp and sticky, broken tiles, poor caulk jobs… It was a lot. The 2nd room was so incredibly musty we couldn’t stand it and asked to be moved. The replacement room was much better, and didn’t seem musty. It was on the 2nd floor so I’m assuming the water damage was only to the first floor. The alarm clock had previously been set to 1AM, so we woke up when that went off, which was unwelcome after our 10 hour trip with 11 people including a baby.

This is a nice hotel, but I guess I was a bit unaware they don’t clean your room daily when you are staying there over the weekend I stayed there from a Thursday to a Sunday. I was only asked what did I need like fresh towels etc. by the cleaning staff, therefore my room didn’t get clean while I was there. This was my only drawback. But other than that everything was a good stay.

Everything was great besides the window in room was broken.

The staff was friendly and as accommodating as possible within the parameters they had to work with. The carpet in the first room assigned was sopping wet. Not damp but sopping. The bathroom light was out in the next room we were sent to. We were given two towels for two individuals for a two day stay. When we requested Moore at the front desk, we were told none were available as they had to be washed and dry for the entire hotel. The breakfast area was covered with gnats. Several flew out as we raised the cover to the bread tray. We intended to swim the morning before checkout. However, the electronic lock to the pool area was malfunctioning, and staff stated there was no ETA for maintenance to arrive.

Firstly the room was wet, not sure if it was not maintained properly before provided to us. Secondly the room was not provided with enough bath supplies even after requested the staff the items were not provided .

THIS IS SOMETHING THAT THE HOTEL HAS NO CONTROL OVER, BUT ON THE FIRST AND SECOND FLOOR THERE WAS A VERY STRONG ODOR OF MARIJUANA IN THE HALLWAYS. I HAD GRANDCHILDREN WITH ME. I HAVE NEVER ENCOUNTERED THIS AT ANY OTHER MARRIOTT. WON'T RETURN TO THIS ONE.

Wrong room. Dirty room

I called Marriott this morning. They gave me a dirty room upon checking in. I ask about extra points they told me talk with the Gm. They gave me another room full of . I remove my dnd sign before leaving Saturday morning so I could have my room service I didn’t receive any so I stop at the front desk for towers to shower after bring it at the beach and pool all day, they told me to wait ‘til 10am the next day. I also bring calling the Gm and can’t get them in the phone I’ll never go back to that location
