I am used to having a refrigerator in my room, but I honestly did not miss it because the atmosphere and character of this property more than made up for that small convenience. The courtyard was absolutely beautiful--a peaceful, picturesque space that really captures the charm of this unique hotel. If you appreciate historic properties, beautiful architecture, and a memorable experience beyond a typical hotel stay, the Malaga Inn is a wonderful choice. I would gladly stay here again.

Charming hotel. Great location and value

This boutique hotel experience was really cool! I love the old charm. However, it’s unfortunate that they can’t keep up better with the property as far as repairs wise. I also did not like the fact that there was no water available to the guests. If they did have water (what the front desk person said) they would charge us $3/bottle. For what we paid to stay there, water should be free, but they did have ice. Every person who worked here was really sweet and kind. Met the owner in passing he was also kind. Lots of construction everywhere. It was a decent experience for the date of the hotel and it not having the fancy amenities like a newer hotel.

really unique place with the most friendly staff i have ever met. Forget about the big hotel chains, go for something different! Great bed, historic building and a great price! if I had known how nice it was I would have stayed another night!

The staff was so helpful when we arrived late. They carried our suitcases to the room and were so accommodating! We had a wonderful, comfortable stay and we plan to return someday aoon.

The bed wasn't level but pointed down from the level of your feet. There was about a inch and a half lip between the floor of the bedroom to the floor of the bathroom - wasn't safe as you could easily stub your toe or trip if you weren't careful. The area rug slide when you stepped on it.. They 'piped' in a scent somehow that was overpowering and awful after awhile. What were they trying to cover up?

Very quaint hotel that is in a great location in downtown Mobile. My husband and I always enjoy our stay at the Malaga Inn.

Nice place but I didn’t like having to climb through a window to get to the balcony

Beautiful property, easy parking! Shower was nice and room was clean. Would have appreciated more history about the property, but was able to look it up. The rocking chairs on the balcony was a great way to drink our morning coffee!

This hotel is a pair of historic residences that were joined together into a hotel in the 1960s. I have visited and/or picked up many friends at this residence and have had pleasant experiences doing so. I decided to book this property on the day of for an unexpected need. The staff was pleasant and the room was nice other than the AC not coming on very well or at all. I set the thermostat at 65 and I doubt the room ever cooled below 78 and the windows did not open. I would be willing to give this hotel another chance due to other pleasant experiences, but my most recent was a bit frustrating and disappointing.

The room was clean, bed was okay, pillows need improvement. The lobby was very clean. The staff is the best part. They are all so kind & friendly, they do whatever you need to make your stay good. Love the staff. It’s nice to walk to restaurants and the main streets of downtown Mobile.

The staff was really nice and helpful. The elevator was out at that time. The room was nice and clean but the place could use a coat of paint and the garden area in the middle of the hotel needs to be pressure washed. We loved the antique feel the amazing charm of the hotel but If it was painted and cleaned up, it would be enchanting!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The courtyard and fountain in the middle of the property added a touch that reminded us our home in New Orleans. The property was conveniently located near many other sites making walking to them very accessible. And the price was right!

Grand old property but not well maintained. If old and antiquated is your goal, this is the place. Wonderful courtyard. Convience to downtown, walking distance to new city civic center

The garden Everything. No elevators, A/C is not working. Bathroom Roof was falling off from running the water while I was showering. There was trash underneath our bed. Bed was broken and falling off the frames , the sinks were clogged with hair.. Keep in mind this is all with a family of my spouse and our 3 young children. We had the worst experience and too expensive for the stay.

Beautiful, historic property with close access to the heart of Mobile!

No frills stay. No breakfast (wifi wasnt working), toilet paper holder broken, bathroom door hard to shut, courtyard view room did NOT have a courtyard view, water on floor when we showed up (like someone was given the room before us and decided they wanted an actual courtyard view and was moved and left their leaky cooler water on the floor. No fridge but could ask for ice. Has potential but nothing fancy. Liked the mardi gras museum a block over! Apparently a tour of a secret tunnel at the inn but we didnt ask.
