The Admiral, Downtown Historic District

An amazing pet friendly hotel. I loved it so much

I recommend this location.

Ashton, one of the servers at our private event held in The Library was excellent! I ran into Jerry Bousard, Director of Sales, and we chatted about our private event and how he did an excellent job of making sure everything went smoothly - it did. I ate in The Library on my last night. The food is not your typical bar food - delicious and the bartender was very courteous. The breakfast was okay. I wish they carried yogurt, too. As for housekeeping in cleaning my room, it lacked. Twice (2 different days) I had to speak to the front desk as it was well in the afternoon and my room hadn't been cleaned. I also had to ask for clean glasses. On my last night the room was cleaned, however, there was scraps of paper under the desk and the dish soap container hadn't been rinsed and was gloppy. It's the details that makes one want to return. The hotel is located central to shopping and restaurants, what with Dauphin Street just two blocks away. If it weren't for the housekeeping being sloppy, I'd recommend it to my friends.

Great place! Only issue I had was the wallpaper was coming off in our room and there was a gash in one of the walls in our room

The bathroom wastebasket was not empty. There was no toilet paper. There was no free breakfasts. The room was very nice looking and was clean. The bed was comfortable. The coffee pot was unplug and had to go on floor under a deck to hunt for plug.

Such an amazing location, lovely amenities, stellar staff, and comfy beds! Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in town - so much history surrounding the place, too!!! 10/10 and looking forward to visiting again!

Manager displayed racist behavior

Room was clean however it was very small and the bed was terrible. Front desk staff were amazing however, the management was so incredibly rude to their staff. They did not try to hide their conversations or correct actions in private. Gentelman working the bar was absolutly amazing.
