Lone Oak Lodge

I was highly impressed by the quality and cleanliness of the room. For a king room, I had lots of space, I was highly impressed!

A good place to stay and rest very clean. I would stay there again on my next trip.

I liked the location of this lodging. Easy to get to other areas such as beaches, Cannery Row, Fisherman Wharf and Hwy 1. Room was nice size, bed was comfortable. Pretty quiet as long as you don't get stuck with room 47. That room is near road and can be noisy. I was assigned that room when I checked in. I asked about the noise, but was pretty much blown off about the noise, since I would be working some while there.Then the TV did not work. Seems they have changed out a lot of TV's but have not in this room. Another staff member had come on and tried to fix TV and I asked to be moved, which she did. Parking can be tight, especially if you have a large vehicle. I would stay there again if in the area.

It was a nice clean property. Very nice family suite we stayed in. Friendly staff. But there were a couple of down sides. The WiFi was terrible. It kept dropping while watching TV and we couldn’t really connect other devices without it dropping. The private patio was real nice BUT all the chairs were ripped up so you couldn’t sit outside. It was non functional. None of the bathrooms or kitchen had soap. That’s definitely something that could be provided. But it was a very nice suite besides that part.

The room was very clean and comfortable.

It was better than what I expected, the room was clean. The room is nice and spacious the bathroom was quite big. We had a little balcony which I loved. The thing I didnt like is that they dont offer breakfast, the tv is small (great chanel options though) and the AC was dirty so we weren't able to use it the first night, until the next day the maintenance person cleaned it. They did give us a fan so that was good. The other thing that I loved and was impressed that they cleaned the room on our 2nd day.

Parking

Overall the place was good and very close to location for the event I was there for. My only issue was that the AC was very loud when turned on. And made it uncomfortable to sleep with it one or just during the day.

The property was clean, beyond expectation. Staff was friendly. Location was convenient.

The interior is decent but several fixtures were in disrepair. Water damage in wall in bathroom. Exterior is falling apart and looks completely uncared for. Door mats are worn, landscaping is overgrown with weeds, flower pots are literally falling apart with dead plants inside in front of every room. Lodge is right by airport and every takeoff can be heard in room. Would not recommend.

Room was nice. The mattress and pillows were pretty firm which made it a bit difficult to sleep, but that is personal preference

Crisp white linens and towels. Clean bathroom and shower and incredibly, this facility has soft water. My only critique is that there are no hangers or place to hang your clothes at least in the room that I stayed in but overall everything was great.

I had a very pleasant stay. My hotel room was updated, clean and comfortable. The office host was professional and courteous. I would stay here again if in the area.

Lone Oak Lodge is an older motel in Monterey, Hotel staff was very nice and accommodating rooms have been refurbished within the past five years. My wife and I have stayed here the last four years in a row and like this property. Nice quiet location, close to restaurants and stores, great value for the money.

Bed was comfortable, bathroom was large. The daily service was good. Coffee was good. Liked there was a fridge and microwave. There was one tiny hook in the whole bathroom. The bathroom could use some towel bars and more hooks. There was nowhere to drape towels. There were some ants in the bathroom. Would be nice if there were side lamps on each side of the bed. The trough style sink didn't really work well. I would be better to have a normal sized sink with some space to put toiletries. Also the fancy faucet got jammed up next to the wall.

Room felt humid and stuffy. There was also what looked like bug legs and stains on our towels and stains on the bedding.
