Monterey Pines Inn is very pet-friendly, and the staff were all polite, welcoming, and incredibly nice. Our room was spacious and very clean. The property is a little dated, but for the price, it was a great value. The location is unbeatable—convenient for getting everywhere, and there’s a large shopping mall just a five-minute walk away. We had a very comfortable stay and would definitely come back!

We had a great stay here. Everything was perfect. Better than I expected for the price we paid. Andy was awesome. I would suggest a bench or chairs in the smoking section.

It was clean, excellent location. Included a mini fridge, microwave, coffeemaker with water bottles. Service was good and the surroundings were clean. It was a little outdated.

Old and falling apart. Only good thing was the nice person who checked us in.

The location was fantastic, it serves as a perfect, central base for exploring Monterey, Cannery Row, and Carmel, all while being a great value. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and the room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with a fridge and microwave. The property has a wonderful, nostalgic layout, which means it features classic construction rather than modern soundproofing. You might hear a bit of neighborly sounds from time to time, but it's just part of its vintage charm. It won’t change our minds for another stay in the future.

The staff was really nice. The hotel was in a safe area and a short drive away from the wharf. The hotel is outdated. They only gave us 2 small bath towels. When I asked for more, they took the ones that we used and replaced with 2 new ones, meaning we only had 2 still. There were no towels for our hair after washing (I’m a mom traveling with my daughter and we both had long hair).

Clean property, well lit safe parting lot, great location and staff. The owner is a nice guy and the check in/check out process is fast. NA

Hotel was walking distance to shopping centre, restaurant and grocery. Free parking onsite We were all bitten by fleas in the night! Bathroom was impossibly small, bathroom sink is in kitchenette. Stairs only to second level, hard with luggage
-
Clean and comfortable. Close to everything and had everything we needed for a stay in Monterey to visit the aquarium. Good value, I would book again. NA

-
Excellent location, close to downtown area & shopping center. Clean, comfortable, & relaxing. Motel needs to be upgraded. Water pressure not the best at times. Thin floors can hear upstairs activity, heavy steps
