Aura Inn Monterey

Staff was very friendly. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Great location near Hwy 1 if you want to travel between Monterey and Big Sur. There was a nice shopping mall near the hotel and restuarants within walking distance.

Property was okay. Definitely not worth the rate.

The hotel was great. The people upstairs were noisy on the first night but that’s no fault of the hotel. Clean space, close to restaurants and a short drive to the aquarium. Would definitely stay again.

The inn is on a main road, same street as other inns but this one had great ratings online and the reality lived up to it. Street vehicle sounds were a tad noisy but not enough to keep you up. The folls upstairs above us were a bit heavy-footed and loud, but that can be expected from a budget inn. Aura is right across the street from Del Monte shopping mall and restaurants. We had all-you-can-eat Korean bbq at Little Korea on Wednesday night $29.99 per person includes a fountain drink each (non-alcoholic), excludes dessert (which was just melon ice fruit bar options). Good kbbq food for an area sparse of Asian eats. On the morning we checked out, we had driven 30 minutes towards our next destination when I realized we had left a small bag in one of the nightstand drawers. I called the inn and asked if they could locate it. Luckily the housekeeper was still cleaning up before the next clients used the room and they gave the bag to front desk. We turned around to pick up the bags with all my belongings still inside. I truly appreciate their honesty and handling with care. Highly recommend the Aura Inn! My teenage kids left with Aura + 100 lollll :)

Everything was great. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were very clean. The couch bed was a bit old but it was clean. Lots of updates. It was pretty expensive for the size and maybe fan benefit from having some light refreshments in the front.

Parking was a little cramped. Hard to get in and out of cars. Other than that, had good nights sleep.

It was as expected for what we paid in the area. Good location

The stay was ok, not worth the rate. It was poorly maintained, had a bad odor, and the floors were filthy! Definitely wouldn’t recommend

2.5 stars rounded down. This is a very mediocre hotel located across the street from a nice, outdoor mall. The room was very bare-bones, think Motel 6–patched holes in the walls, no lamps, poor water pressure, and an odd layout (king-sized bed in the living room space of the “suite” instead of a sitting area). The manager, while not outright rude, wasn’t very helpful. My son that is stationed here got to unexpectedly stay in the room with us, and the manager acted like I was trying to put one over on him on how many people I had in the room while charging me an extra $30 dollars a night for a roll-away cot in my “suite.” He asked me more than once about if they should clean the room after I told him yes and then they didn’t manage to get to it in the four hours + we were out of the room from 9:30 on. The room was serviceably clean and there is a fridge and microwave. It’s about a mile to stuff in Monterey and it’s an easy walk. Overall, there are a lot of options here and I would keep looking rather than stay here again

Excellent stay. Room was clean and spacious. Front desk was courteous and accommodating!!! The Aura Inn is a great place to stay and I highly recommend!!!

The location was good. Not far from the Wharf & Cannery Row. The staff was very pleasant. Room was nice & bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Staff were amazing and so helpful !! Room was really nice also, very nice bathroom .

We could not use the couch that was in the room without paying extra for it. We were placed on the first floor and the people above us were so loud at night and you could hear every walk back and forth across the room. It made it so hard to sleep. The parking was horrible and every spot was too small to fit in. The vinyl floor in the room was all scratched up and the floor needed to be vacuumed. A rug or a clean front door mat would have helped.

Have stayed here a few times now. Convenient, comfortable, very clean rooms. Newly updated hotel. Free parking. Walk to the mall across the street. Close to all things in Monterey, Pacific Grove and Carmel.

The room was perfectly fine and everything was good. The reason I’m leaving this review is because I requested late check out which they accommodated. I informed the staff that my mom had a job interview (remote) and during her interview the cleaning staff tried entering the room multiple times and interrupted her interview. It was noted that we had late check out so that is totally not ok. There was also DND sign on the door knob.

Room was clean. Very convenient parking. Didn’t try the air conditioning because weather was pleasant. Overall very good on the go hotel
