Mariposa Inn & Suites

Old rooms but clean. Property is okay, nothing special. Location close to stuff to do. But on the highway and another busy street so quite loud with traffic and garbage collection. Air Conditioning functioned but either zero.circulation or too cold and the unit was loud.

Bed and towels smelled fresh. Room was clean but not as airy and open as it looked in the pictures when we booked it. There was a chaise lounge that for some reason was on a raised floor. I think it made the room look and feel smaller. TV was so old that you couldn't stream any apps. Channels were limited. Had to ask for a paper copy of the channel list because the channel guide on the TV was empty. Breakfast was ok if you just want a quick bite. Breakfast room was very clean and well stocked. The building definitely needs an upgrade especially the elevators and the stairs area. Kind of dark and narrow. Room was soundproof. Didn't hear anyone or anything except for one customer who had a really loud muffler. Cleaning staff was friendly. Front desk staff was ok.

I liked that my room had a fireplace and balcony with a table and chairs. The location was nice.The staff during the day was friendly. The room was nice. I didn't like that there was no staff available in the evening into the night. We were kept up all night because the people in the room above us were loud and there was nobody at the front desk to deal with this issue. And the continental breakfast was bad, there was rotting bananas, cereal juice and bagels.

Good location and easy access to highway #1 Not all room can be access by elevator.

Clean room. Excellent location within driving distance from local eateries.

The pet policy was unclear. It stated that service dogs are accepted but did not clearly mention that emotional support animals are not, which caused confusion at check-in. The night front desk staff was also not very welcoming or friendly. Overall, the cleanliness, communication, and hospitality could definitely be improved.

Great stay and great location

Room very clean no traffic noise Shower needs a safety rod in shower Security doors at end of floor disconnected anyone can get in. Breakfast poor. Not advertised as continental. Yogurt not in an ice container nor was milk pitcher. Juice pitchers not labeled so no idea what they were. Coffee carafes were not labeled so is it caffeinated or decaf. 2 very small toasters one didn't work. There was also a carafe labeled hot water and only one tea bag for all the guests. Staff not rude but also not welcoming or smiling. Very disappointed. Will not return or recommend.

The location of the breakfast was perfect. The coffee was hot and yogurt cups were good.very responsive services when we needed to call to have a leaky toilet and tub faucet fixed. Also to refill shampoo and body wash which were empty. I wish they had explained or pointed to the sign that services are only provided upon request, not just on a little sign by the check in desk . Could have had more protein sources as in eggs of some type.

Clean and nice staff. No hot breakfast, all grab and go. With the exception of toast.

The Second Lady who name I did not get was not very friendly and it felt like I was bothering her. As someone who works in hospitality specifically front desk this is not typical behavior that I would expect from a hotel, such as this one. When I informed her that I was already pre-checked in and was just returning to get my keys. She asked me questions such as my last name and my telephone number, but not once did she ever asked to see my ID to confirm that I was the individual that booked the reservation. I asked her questions about places I can go to that we’re close by and she seemed very annoyed by my question she briefly told me where my room was and went back to doing whatever it was she was already participating in prior to me approaching. The hotel is beautiful, the room was amazing, but the lack of customer service that I received at the time of Check-in from the second person left a sour taste.

We booked the king suite with hot tub. AC was nice and cold. Room is a nice size with fireplace and small area with a chair and table. Robes & house slippers were a nice addition. Hot Tub is a bit small as it did not fit both of us. The shower was nice and had 2 shower heads and fit 2 ppl comfortably.

This place was nice and relaxing. Cute little hotel whit nice spacious rooms

It seems the Hotel had a renovation a few years back that was nicely done, but it seems as though there’s been no maintenance since there’s a number of issues like crumbling, concrete walls outside, minimal housekeeping services, non-functioning equipment in the rooms and huge buildup of body oil and scum on the walls of the hot tub that may have been going on for a year or so

Convenient to Carmel. Nice with a fireplace in the room.
