The Inn at 1252

Perfection.

The plugs on the bedside table were broken and I couldn’t use them to charge my phone and iPad. I asked for them to be replaced but they weren’t. I had to use the plugs in the bathroom to charge my things.

Room was small, no tables, only one chair. No place to sit down. There was dirty spot inside of the toilet. Bathroom amenity was only one small soap, shampoo and conditioner were on the wall. Drapes were not closed, opening half inch so that someone can see from outside ( it was first floor). I asked front desk a clips to close them. People were drinking outside. My asthma was getting worse so we checked out next early morning.

Exceptional

Location was very good. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Ample parking but there was a charge for parking. Room service provided each day. Each of the rooms had a coffee maker which was wonderful to have available. We were under the impression from information on the internet that the inn came with a continental breakfast. When we showed up at check in we were told that had been discontinued years ago and would not be available.

The location was nice. The coffee pot was broke, the pictures online weren't how hotel looked, the pool doesnt open until 10am, which doesnt make sense as check out is at 11am. Not worth the high unchanged for the weekend.

Comfy beds. New clean towels and Bathroom was cleaned everyday. Bedroom was cleaned and beds made everyday except for 2 days. Difficult to pump soap and shampoo out from container. Nightstand lamp did not work, we reported it but they did not fix it. Could not adjust the direction of the air from the AC, i was feeling the cold air directly on me while sleeping.

Room was small but nice. One tall dresser drawer. Thin blankets and it is cold. No table or counter to place food or items. Only space is the top of the dresser. Shower wasnt the cleanest but would stay again. Very convenient for quick stays or just to have a nicer place to sleep.

The place is okay but was not what the pictures showed. I should have spent a little more money for a better place. You get what you pay for.

Location is the best part. And the overall vibe is cute. 1. Paid parking. 2. No conditioner in the showers? Why? It’s a basic thing, very frustrating. Shampoo and body wash dispensers were either broken or empty. 3. There was information online that this hotel offers breakfast snacks and there was nothing. Just the coffee machine. I mean at least you could offer bananas and granola bars for that price.

The room hadn't been swept - the floor was covered in sand. On arrival I was charged $10 a night for parking so the Expedia discount was irrelevant.

Great central location. Only a few minutes from the water at Monterey or Highway 1 to Carmel.

A good place to stay, convenient to monitory, but the pool was tiny, and it was open to the street view
