Charged for parking which seems petty. Room was clean and comfortable but no frills per se.

Location is great

It was a nice place. It would have been a best place if they have continental breakfast too for a traveller like me to get a quick breakfast instead of roaming around in the morning for my breakfast to save time and energy.

Todo como debe de ser muy bien

Great place to stay during our road trip. Close to the aquarium and downtown. Convenient access to main roads.

In a really convenient spot but away from traffic! Would 100% stay again.

Really safe place to stay

The room was fine other than the shower water was blowing out air then dourts of water. After letting it run for 7-8 minutes and no change in temp or spurting of water, I had to call the front office. They said they would turn up the water temperature, then an attendant came by to check on the water. The air sputing stopped, however, it took 10 minutes each shower to earm up the water. A lot of wasted water waiting for the temperature to increase. They also did not clean or replenish towels or coffee.

It was clean and the bathroom is spacious with modern touch. There was microwave and mini fridge which was a plus.

The room was a good size and seemed to have been recently modernised, nice shower/bath and comfortable beds. 20 minutes walk downhill into down town Monterey. Plenty of parking but unfortunately they charge you $10 per night to park which is a rip off. The parking is free if you book directly with the hotel but felt it was a bit cheap to be penalising anyone who doesn't. Didn't use pool but it looked nice (Small). Fitness room has a treadmill, bike , stepper and multi gym. No free weights and pretty cramped.

Housekeeping only emptied the trash and replaced towels. Didn’t clean the bathroom at all. Ridiculous for what we paid. There were garbage bags flying around the parking lot. There was a bug in the bathroom when I first went in. Bathroom had shoddy workmanship, clearly cheaply done upgrades, dirty sealant around the tub. The room and property itself was decent. Pool was heated and small. No jacuzzi. Not the best hotel, not the worst. Wouldn’t pay more than $150 a night.

Check in was quick and easy,$10 for parking though. Clean room, comfortable beds.warm pool always a treat!

The staff were not good, and one of them walked in while we were there, and then, instead of getting out as she saw, we were there. She just sat there and stared which was not Ok in many different ways, and that is violating the privacy of me and my kids

The inflation of Monterey motel prices is astonishing. This motel is definitely only midgrade, yet it was $400 for one night, including the $45 in taxes. Ouch! The room was clean, and the two beds were acceptable for the three of us (me, my wife, and son). But there was no shampoo OR conditioner in the dispensers in the shower (a minor thing, but a sign that nobody is checking the basics). The fridge was cold and quiet. I liked the wood floor in our room (I'm not a motel carpet fan), and that there was no room above us with people stomping around after midnight. The toilet flush was so explosively loud it could wake the dead (I imagine its impossible to clog though). The big disappointment was the shower, which leaked so much from the base of the showerhead that no more than 10% of the water came out of the jets. It was so comical that I was tempted to video it and post it online; it probably would have gotten a million clicks. But my wife was not amused, and we were in a hurry, so no time to complain at the desk. I will say that the location is good, near the Del Monte Shopping Center, downtown, and Fisherman's Wharf, with easy access back to Hwy 1 (we had business in Carmel Valley and Seaside). And the little pool looked inviting (80 degrees). I would probably stay there again (but I'd check the shower before I accepted the room).

Clean room and property

We stayed here for a few nights, during our stay in Monterey. The property was easy to find, and was within walking distance to the local shopping mall and several nearby restaurants. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff was very helpful. Parking, during our stay, was readily available and free. The rooms were neat, clean, and well maintained, and also included a small refrigerator and microwave. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were relatively quiet. The restrooms were roomy, clean, and well stocked, and the shower was quite roomy. The only exception I had was the fact the the bathroom doors are composed of frosted glass which, if you're staying alone (or are accompanied by someone with whom you're very comfortable) could be a bit awkward. As I was staying with family members, I wasnt too bothered by the bathroom doors being mostly opaque, but I understandthat not everyone would be comfortable with that. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely return for future visits to Monterey.

We were very impressed with the place... Excellent in all areas and the best for the money.....

Great staff, nice room, bed was a little springy and no way to block light from coming in through the bathroom window because of translucent door but overall good experience

It was a smooth stay! The area is safe! The Inn is clean and staff are helpful! Would love to stay again!
