Parking lot is a little small and when I arrived in the middle of the night the lot was full. Next day there was no problem parking. The room was CLEAN, bedding smelled nice and freshly washed, and I easily fell asleep. They accommodated my middle of the night arrival which I was so thankful for since I didn’t arrive till 4:00am and was EXHAUSTED from driving all night, and there is no staff to check you in. But since I was staying multiple nights they were able to find a solution. Very thankful and would DEFINITELY recommend this motel.

Will not be staying here again
-
This is a nice motel at an economical price for a city like Monterey. I enjoyed my stay there.

Stayed here for a few days and was very happy with it. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and the location was great. Close enough that you could drive 10-15 minutes in either downtown Monterey or Carmel. Also pretty affordable. Definitely recommend.

The room and bed were comfortable. Self parking on-site.

My room was big, spacious, clean and amenities were all there…only drawbacks are weak wifi at certain times and upstairs guests sounded like a family of sumo wrestlers.

There was the nice refillable soap. And shampoo in shower. Conditioner would have been helpful. Refillable liquid soap also for hands. Just not lotion. Coffee in the morning in the office. No completely non dairy creamer but OK, I brought my own. Fridge was a little too cold. My fresh strawberries froze. Should have put on bottom!

the price was good. parking was very convenient and adequate for all guests. the manager was happy to accommodate our needs. quiet neighborhood. housekeeping was good. we were on the lower level, and not bothered by upstairs neighbors...mostly. early every evening there was one loud thump-we agreed someone must have dropped a large coconut-then quiet again. we walked the neighborhood in the evening and found it charming and well cared for.

Very good

It was fine for a cheap one night stay. The AC unit is ancient. Some decor is new and updated. There were areas of paint chipping in the bathroom and small things that look more worn than anticipated in online pictures. Overall it was fine.

when we checked in the electricty was out and we weren't sure if we were going to stay there, but eventually it came back on. thank goodness.

Beds sucked, pillows sucked.

Bad

The worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. There was too much noise from passing cars, the window shutters did not work, and the front door was poorly aligned, allowing light to come through. The floors were also extremely noisy. Considering the high price, the experience was very disappointing. I do not recommend staying at this hotel.
-
Location. no coffee maker in room, no mirror, outside noise getting inside easily.
-
Paid almost $700 for one night stay the room was clean but no amenities and not even a light by the bed just overhead glaring lighting should’ve been about $75 for the night
-
Clean and updated but very sterile. Exceptionally bright overhead lights only. No bedside reading lamps. Very thin towels. Soap dispenser in shower completely empty.
-
It didn't have coffee in the room and the office was locked in the morning, and I couldn't get a cup. The only reason why I gave it an 8. Also, a walk to a coffee shop was a bit of a walk.
-
Front desk staff not useful. Never emailed my receipt. Hasn't credited back my $100 security deposit.

The guy at the office was really rude. This hotel was gross. All mix matched furniture. One of those hotels where you feel dirty just sitting on the bed or using the bathroom. The tissue paper holder was rusted. Fridge was peeling plastic. Toilet had yellow stains with a toilet cover that was falling apart. What a waste of $230 for one night. Only booked this hotel because it was close to the wedding venue we attended. Didn't expect it to be that run down. Ac unit was soo old, yellow, and dusty. Had cracks in it. Was scared to turn it on for the years of dust to blow out.Room was very stuffy.
