Paid almost $700 for one night stay the room was clean but no amenities and not even a light by the bed just overhead glaring lighting should’ve been about $75 for the night
-
Front desk staff not useful. Never emailed my receipt. Hasn't credited back my $100 security deposit.

The guy at the office was really rude. This hotel was gross. All mix matched furniture. One of those hotels where you feel dirty just sitting on the bed or using the bathroom. The tissue paper holder was rusted. Fridge was peeling plastic. Toilet had yellow stains with a toilet cover that was falling apart. What a waste of $230 for one night. Only booked this hotel because it was close to the wedding venue we attended. Didn't expect it to be that run down. Ac unit was soo old, yellow, and dusty. Had cracks in it. Was scared to turn it on for the years of dust to blow out.Room was very stuffy.

Plenty of parking in the lot. Very close to the aquarium/cannery row (8 minutes with heavy traffic) and fisherman's wharf (5 minutes with heavy traffic). Shopping mall and movie theater right up the street. Tons of things to do around here. Front desk was great and friendly. He recommended an amazing dinner at The Sardine Factory, pricey but well worth the dining experience. When we checked in the bedding and pillow cases had a few gross looking stains so we immediately went back down to talk to the front desk to have the bedding switched out again which they did immediately without a problem and apologized for it being that way when we got to the room. Housekeeping even went in the room with my husband so he could personally show her what stains we saw and she too apologized. We came back to fresh clean bedding an hour later and enjoyed the rest of our stay. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom and room were clean and had everything shown in the pictures listed. Plenty of space in the mini fridge if you have dinner leftovers or bring drinks and snacks. Microwave in room. Air conditioning works. Very affordable room even with the car show event going on in town this week. Check in and check out was extremely easy here. 100$ deposit for the room at check-in. Will definitely come back to stay at the Pelican Inn anytime we are in Monterey.

Thanks the room was clean. It would have been better if new towels were provided at some point during my 5 night stay.
-
nicely updated room, very clean. Not within an easy walk to downtown but the rates here are $100-$150 cheaper per night than other options closer to downtown. Would stay again.
-
The motel is well maintained and is conveniently located just off Highway I and downtown Monterey.
-
We were on the first floor and we could hear the guests above us all night. If you need peace and quiet this is not the property for you.

The staff greeted me right away and were very kind and helpful. The site was clean and the bedroom was fresh. This was a very pleasant stay and I would come back to the Pelican Inn. It is a short drive to the beach and Cannery Row (maybe 5 minutes through the cute downtown area).

For a little under $700 for 2 days, I expected much more. No pool, no coffee maker in room, no water pressure in shower, and I mean none. Just a roof over your head. Would never stay again, and would definitely not recommend!!!
