Pelican Inn Monterey

Amazing service besides the fact they charge 20.00 for an extra towel.

Great location. Near Carmel and Downtown Monterey. Nice people working there. Nice vibe to the place.

Extremely simple

We stayed at this motel for one night and found it to be okay for a short visit, especially if you are planning to explore Monterey or Carmel-by-the-Sea. The room was fairly basic and had a chair with a visible stain, which could be improved. I also preferred to use my own blanket for comfort. It was a bit noisy at times, but overall it was acceptable for a quick overnight stay given the convenient location.

Room was clean, but no coffee, no anything except wall mounted soap dispensers. Looks like it had been remodeled on an DIY basis. Utterly without charm. Forensic bright LED recessed lights glared when lights were turned on. No lamps. Goodwill level furniture shoved wherever it would fit. Left room service tag on door but no service received. Frankly not better than Motel 6. Expected more for the price. Will not return.

didn’t come to the room to give your items you have to come down to the office and get stuff from the dudes wife who is very slow paced. they don’t offer room cleaning on one day. microwave didn’t work at all. dirty bed sheets and pillows. tv ask if someone can connect to the tv(very weird). metal part to the shower head connection to the wall is broken. toilets are backed up after peeing and using 3 pieces of toliet paper; “ the toilets have been having a lot of complains” i had to go down to meet the lady to get a plunger which was very dirty and she had ME take it upstairs in a garbage bag. limited parking “ you must park forward all the way til your tire touches the curb”. found dead bed bugs. floors are dirty and people who live in back of the hotel are loud. Also I did not receive my 100$ deposit btw we had no text saying any property was damaged and we didn’t use anything from the amenities not that they even had snacks anything extra in there for purchase.

It was horrible.

Laundry is not at Pelican but 10min walk away, and only runs from 8AM until 9PM. But the amenities are modern. The owners can be a bit difficult.

Good clean place reasonably priced

Great overnight spot! The fridge and microwave were very helpful to have. A coffee maker in the room would have been really nice. There was nowhere near early in the morning to get coffee. The room was updated and cute. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Recommended!

Clean room

First time staying here and it was enjoyable. Everywhere we needed to go was walking distance. Staff were kind and helpful, the rooms were clean, and there was parking. No amenities like a pool or fitness center, but we just needed a place to sleep. Would come back.

This place was perfect. We stayed one night and it served its purpose well. The check in clerk was very pleasant and helpful. Hotel was close to everything. Only thing is we couldn’t have ac on because it was too close to bed and we didn’t want to wake up sick, so it got a bit stuffy. But all in all it was a great hotel. We would definitely be back.

We got the 2 bedroom room. Staff was very helpful. We were able to check in early for a small fee. Room was very clean and tidy. Hotel is walking distance to many restaurants and stores. We would stay here again.

Close to downtown montery, nice hotel room with a fridge and microwave. Our room had a creaky floor in one area but that was the only issue

Basic amenities but fit our needs. There is coffee in the office. We could have used a bit more soap and shampoo - the dispensers were almost empty. Towels were not luxurious- but ok, would have been bothered by this in colder season.

The Property was very clean and well-maintained. The staff is always very helpful. and I enjoyed my stay.

Very basic room. Few amenities. Not even a TP holder in the bathroom. No chair to sit in besides a cheap roller office chair. No lamps besides harsh overhead pot lights. So so bed and clean but thin, low grade bedding. Room was clean but not really very comfortable. Ok for the price I guess.
