Its location was great We had been driving for 8 hours and arrived at 2pm we were told the rooms were not ready which was fine however we were told if we pay $50 we could have the room straight away which we declined

I think the location was really good as it was nearby the Old Monterey street and if I wanted to buy something at night I could go to Jack in the box burger shop or Rocket convenience store I wanted to use the pool facility during my stay but it was closed. I wish I could use it

The room was a spacious and in good condition. The rooms face a busy street so there is traffic noise though the traffic is much less at night so sleeping wasn’t a problem.

Friendly staff and the rooms are clean and tidy. The items in the room may look old school but they are functioning without any issues.

The front desk staff was efficient, got me checked in quickly. Room was extremely clean, bathroom was updated. Towels were fluffy. Thermostat and heat worked great to offset Monterey's usual chilly weather. Room had fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Bed was comfy. Black out curtains were effective. Parking was free, easy to get a spot. Exterior needs a paint job: hotel is nicer than what it looks like on outside. Walls were a bit thin - could hear upstairs guest walking around, tv next door - but not too bad, people were considerate. No breakfast. Pool was closed.

The room seemed moderately clean, the bathroom needed some maintenance, and I got bit by something in the bed. It's cheap but I won't be back due to the potential bed bugs.
