Motel 6 Montgomery, AL - Eastern Blvd.

I guess you get what you pay for. Booked a 2x double bed room about 2 hours before arrival, site said 7 rooms available. At check in staff mentioned no two double beds available, but if I wanted 2 queens he could help me out. I thought great, I wanted two queens anyway. Thought it would be a free upgrade. Then he mentions I should cancel my room and he’ll rebook me with two queens. I ask “at same rate right?” He gives me a number almost double of initial room. Told him I’m not interested then. Then he says he’ll help me out and calls his manager. Manager doesn’t pick up, he walks away. Comes back and asks if I canceled room already. I reminder him I wasn’t going to. Then he just gives me key card. I ask him so is this 2 queens or 2 doubles? And he goes: no idea but should be two beds. Property in general dirty and disheveled, seems to be a lot of maintenance going on. Many rooms are not numbered. Room itself, half the lights didn’t work, smelled funny and shower faucet was dangling loose. room was super hot upon arrival, A/C had to be run for a while to cool down room. A/c only had very basic settings so it was either super cold or warm. Vending machines were only half filled and only took dollar bills in lobby. Supposedly there was another vending machine area but all arrows pointed in contradicting directions. Never found it. Would not recommend

This hotel had very nice grounds, especially for our pet. The room was comfortable. This was a great value accommodation.

The staff where do I begin that lady that works in the morning is the rudest person I have ever met in a hotel industry not only did she go in my room and take all my personal belongings out of it when I went to pay for the day she said oh I cleaned that room I thought you left if you walk into a room with the person's clothes in their personal items better made why would you think they left then when I got them back she says and by the way this is a non-smoking room as I didn't smoke any Yes you did I saw the evidence in the cup with water I said ma'am I smoked on the balcony and to keep from throwing my cigarette butt over the balcony into your grass I put it out in a couple of water she says no you was smoking in the room so so rude and to the naked eye the room was clean but if you look behind the tables behind the TV filled let's see air conditioning it probably didn't get the room no cooler than 78 79° and pet friendly I don't know I didn't have a pet but I would give them all a negative one star if that was an option

Literally the worst hotel I've ever stayed in in my life. Cockroaches. Toilet didn't work. TV didn't work. Phone didn't work. Holes in the walls. Mold and damp. No locks on toilet door. Awful time checking in where I was told my room wasn't available and to call Hotels.com. I called them and they called the hotel and I was told that they did in fact have a room. Staff were rude an entirely unhelpful. This hotel needs to be condemned.

Room was not ready. Didn’t check in til 3:30. Toilet barely flushed. It wasn’t a pleasant stay.

It was a good price and a safe place to sleep. The lobby and the room both smelled very musty like extremely musty. Every time the AC came on it smelled like mildew. But it was doable and it was the best price in the area and all we needed was a few hours sleep which we got. Check-in was easy and everything worked

Clean, pet friendly atmosphere. The price was just right. I would highly recommend this establishment for an overnight stay!

It was ok bathtub would not drain. Booked and paid for a smoking room and when I ckd in they said they did not have a smoking room

The location of the property was right off the Interstate and easy to find. I would like it if they were able to serve a light breakfast.

I was charged for something I didn't receive which made me upset and the was rude also was put out with out a refund cause if the bathroom light wasn't working nor my tv Plenty's of things

We traveled from Michigan and had booked another “pet friendly” hotel but 2 hours before we were to arrive they called to cancel because I had dogs. I was on the highway, in construction and had no idea what to do. Bringfido.com had a room at Motel 6, great pet friendly reviews so I booked it. Then I got worried and called the front desk. I was hoping for a room on the ground floor close to a larger parking area so my husband could park his truck and trailer near the room. The lady was able to make it happen. 3.5 hours later we finally arrived, the check in was super easy and fast. When we drove around to the room it was on a corner with a palm tree and a grassy area right in front of the room! It was perfect! The room was clean and the wood floors were great for the dogs. For the price this was an excellent room and location. I don’t think we had neighbors, there were some construction type workers on the other side of the parking lot from us. It was our own private oasis :) The room was nice, a little upgrading and the room would compete with higher end hotels. My suggestions would be new pillows, new bed linens- they are clearly well used- and towels - those towels were more like really thin hand towels- and a fresh coat of white paint, the focus wall was beautiful. Everything else was great, and my only issues were supe We had an excellent stay and if we are in the area we will certainly stay again. The room was nice, a little upgrading and the room would compete with higher end hotels. My suggestions would be new pillows, new bed linens- they are clearly well used- and towels - those towels were more like really thin hand towels- and a fresh coat of white paint, the focus wall was beautiful. Everything else was great, and my “complaints” aren’t complaints just suggestions.
