Holiday Inn Express Myrtle Beach-Broadway at the Beach by IHG

TV did not have access to log-in to your own streaming services, and we had one cable channel. Reserved room for two adults, two kids and still had to ask for sheets/bedding for the very broken and uncomfortable pull-out. They brought us one pillow. Room came with three towels. Nothing made sense. At check in the lady wanted the physical card we used for booking. This has never happened at any hotel ever. Including other Holiday Inn's. We had to change the reservation in my spouses name so the one physical card we had would match names. This was not made clear to us at booking. Just a mess all around.

Room was not clean. AC dud not work properly. Bathroom faucet defective

The hotel is clean and has a nice breakfast. Our only issue was the AC. It is still controlled on the fan unit on the wall. It did not cool well so it took it all night to cool to 70. We were warm most of the night (it’s 100 degrees outside so we don’t want to be warm). Other than that it was just fine.

The only thing I didn’t care for was the breakfast everything else was fine.

We booked online we put that we had a pet. Two days on our stay there I get a call while out w/ family saying I need to come back and get my dog for barking. They try to say I snuck my dog into the hotel, I had proof that we paid for her because the staff was even playing with her throughout the two days there was no issues and when I told her I was with the family at an event I just paid to get in, they said if I did not pick my dog up they were going to call the cops and have them come and get my dog so I had to leave the event and leave my daughter who is 17 at the event and go and get my dog and spend the evening with her because she was getting distracted by a bunch of kids running down the hallway and I had to go calm her down. The kid was knocking on the door, causing my dog to bark, which is why she was barking then I got a notification I was charged $200 for an extra pet fee and $109 because they said I was rude because I was confused on the part of the pet fee. They knew my dog was there and I told them my dog was there. Upon checking in because we did online booking. I actually had to use my other card to pay a deposit as well so that’s where I was confused she said since I was being rude that she had to charge me $109 for attitude. The only attitude I gave her was that she had no right to threaten to have a cop come and get my dog when I paid a pet fee. I didn’t even complain on them when a Chihuahua was outside w/out leash on and tried to attack my small dog/me

Not recommended staying here if you want any good sleep. You can hear whenever anyone’s hotel door opens or closes. It slams so LOUDLY when the door shuts that it wakes you up. Not recommended.

The breakfast was fantastic, but the room’s cleanliness was disappointing. The floors were so filthy that my white socks turned dark brown just from walking around. No one cleaned the room during our entire three-day stay, and I ended up scrubbing the bathroom and its floor myself. We were told housekeeping would come after the first night, but that never happened. The only visit we got was from someone replacing the towels. I thought I left all that behind when I left home to relax, but apparently not.

Stayed here on two separate occasions and both times were great experiences. The rooms were clean and the staff was incredibly friendly. We also loved the convenient location.

The staff was friendly and helpful, my golden retriever was very pleased with the staff.

The hotel was great. It is in an amazing location to do all the fun stuff Myrtle Beach has to offer!

I always have a pleasant time and stay at the Holiday Inn express no matter what state.
