Monterey Bay Suites

Me fui 1 semana con mi familia la avitacion frente al océano nos encantó solo que tenía un poco de olor a humedad y las cortinas necesitan cambiarlas x percíbanlas en otros cuartos ya vi q las están cambiando exelente, el parqueo para carros grandes está muy estrecho y el desayuno muy delicioso las picinas muy bonitas me gustó regresaremos próximamente

parking garage tight. don't drive a truck or large suv.had heavy rain and storm one night. window leaked. living room floor was soaked. I checked patio door and a/c unit first. those were dry all around. I called front desk twice with no answer. so I go to front desk at 05:30 am. young man at desk with ear buds in. I state i called but no answer. he said "that was you?" I state my issue. he gives me towels to soak up water. says house keeping doesn't come in till 07:00, and they have to do common areas first. my thoughts..ok I understand that, however a guest just had a major issue and im told to wait. so now it's 11:00 no one came. I go back to front desk for the SECOND time(this guy doesn't know a thing about it) I explain again. he calls maintenance. they come within a few minutes. check a/c unit and watches underneath it. says its not the unit. so he caulks around window. ok black window frame and he uses white caulk instead of clear, then instead of using his finger or special credit card looking tool to smooth it, he uses one of the coupon books. he makes a mess. so he uses our wash cloth to clean mess up. instead of throwing wash cloth away he keeps washing it out in sink(oh well his problem when caulk clogs up sink). he stated housekeeping will clean towels and change the soaked indoor/outdoor rug. we go o. about our day at it is now noon. come back towels were picked up was all. worker at snack shack was high. im out of room I got more..

Habían cucarachas en el cuarto

Will never stay here again. Very dirty and out dated. Had to was the plates before we could use them and had only 1 fork to share. Sink did not drain. The balcony looks to never be cleaned. This place is gross.

The location of the place was wonderful. We enjoyed our stay 5nights. We did have roaches seen on the kitchette. The floors left our feet black if you walked barefoot. No one ever came to get linens or empty our trash. But we took out trash out we cleaned the floor . I just then there should have been better service.

we found cup of fruit under the bed. Power had gone out and no back up generators had supplied power so our kids got scared and had to leave for the late evening until restored. Bed room ceiling wasnt finished, had multiple spackled areas that were not painted over. Certainly not worth the money we paid for it.

We recently stayed a week at the hotel. We had a good experience. The staff is very friendly. The food was good. The oceanfront beach view was amazing. Great location, steps off the beach. And, there’s a beach/chair service right on the beach. The hotel needs to be updated and need some work. Our room was clean (minor cleaning issues) however, the Murphy bed had some rust in some of the corners and holes/ stains in the headboard. The ceiling in the living room space had wet stains. I know that’s common because it is oceanfront. There can be a long wait for the elevator. And, one of our outlets had the cover missing. The parking garage is very tight.

Overall, the property was very good. We really enjoyed the pool and appreciated the spaciousness of the room. The only downside was that housekeeping did not automatically clean the room each day, and we had to request service instead.

Todo estuvo bien buen ubicación

We had to switch rooms upon arrival due to the poor condition of the first room. The second room wasn't much better. Loose tiles, pealing paint, and looked nothing like the pictures on the website.

This is an older hotel. The room had obviously been upgraded with new floors, walls painted etc. so it was not an unpleasant suite. But bathroom is very small by current standards for 2 people. We used our balcony and enjoyed the view. We did not eat breakfast. Staff were outstanding. We did have a drink by the pool. The “pool shack” bar is fairly run down but was popular and the drinks we had were good. All the different pools were obviously popular tho we did not use them. Bed was very clean and fairly comfortable although not new. All in all, an older hotel doing its best to stay updated.

Great choice for a beach trip on a family friendly budget.

My family vacation 07-2026 at Monterey Bay Suites was a very good experience . Check in was easy our room at plenty of room to sleep full size kitchen was nice . Having split rooms with two different air conditioners worked out great room service was good complimentary breakfast was good all 5 days the pools were nice The Lazy River was warm hot tubs were hot plenty of room on the beach . About the only negatives were one of the three elevators stopped working and the snack bar at the pool was expensive but convenient .

Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean. Staff works hard here. The problem is the condition it’s in. Do not stay here! Internet pictures are misleading. I felt like our room was under construction. We had so many issues with our room, problem was our reservations were cancelled by them and had no where to put us. So they put us in a room until another room became available and that room never came available- it ruined our stay there for our vacation. Parking is absolutely horrible. Tight spots high risk of scratching your car.

Staff Very friendly

The drains in the shower and bathroom sink were going down super slow.

Walked out to the roof top pool which my grandson loved! Received vouchers for breakfast which was a full breakfast not just bagels and cereals although I would have eaten much earlier got up early to walk the beach everyday and enjoyed every minute so calming and relaxing The outdoor grounds were kept up so beautiful I love the array of flowers

Good place

The hotel and parking count use a few more updates, but it's a solid hotel choice for a family

what not to like, beautiful hotel, nice amenities. Very clean, the most naces thing they clean the rooms every day I change the bedding and towels without anyone asking for it. recommend 10/10
