We had a great experience at this resort. It was clean, staff was friendly, restaurant was very good!

Check-in was a breeze. Staff at the resort were so nice and helpful. Housekeeping was great as well. Even if you didn't need service if they saw you in the hallway, they would always ask if we needed anything. There was a restaurant on site that made pool lunch very convenient. Also had a nice tiki bar that served cold drinks till about 5. (Alcoholic and nonalcoholic). Resort did not mind having a small cooler with you at the pool. Resort is steps away from the sandy beach. Young lady there working hard every day if you wanted to rent beach chairs and umbrella. Two outdoor pools (Max 5 ft deep for both) on site and outdoor hot tub and the indoor pool and lazy river with additional hot tub indoors, these were huge especially when we got one day of really bad weather. The only bad thing which really isn't that bad, was parking was a bit tight. If renting a car perhaps going with a Sedan or smaller SUV is the way to go. Loved our stay. We will be making this a yearly trip.

“The place was very clean, and the staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Overall, we had a pleasant experience with the property itself. Unfortunately, during our stay, a pipe burst, causing water to leak and triggering the fire alarm and emergency evacuation warning in the middle of the night. Everyone had to evacuate the building, which was a very frightening experience, especially for my children. They were terrified at the time and are still talking about how scary and traumatic the experience was for them. While I understand that unexpected emergencies can happen, this incident definitely had a significant impact on our stay.”

Rooms outdated. Loved easy and quick access to beach.

This is a beautiful property, located not too far away from several shops in the area, but away from the crowds of the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk

The resort was clean and staff where wonderful.

This was our family’s first time at this location and it did not disappoint. One of the best stays we’ve had visiting Myrtle Beach. Highly recommend

ISLAND VISTA RESORT--Originally we were placed in room 620. It was musty smelling and the air conditioner was not working properly. There were grayish stains on ceiling in which I thought could be mold (my opinion). The ceiling fan was covered in dust. Stephen at the front desk was very nice and moved us to room 220 which was better. Both of these rooms are very small but the bed was comfortable. It lacks updates (my opinion). It was however nice to have covered parking. There is a 20% gratuity added automatically on every single thing at Island Vista. All the staff were very nice. We more than likely will not return only due to the lack of updates and oldness of the entire resort.

The room was awful - especially for the price and ratings online. Didn't look anything like any of the pictures. AC was broken, TV didn't work, furniture was broken. Would not recommend.

The resort itself was fantastic. There are two outdoor pools, plus a smaller pool and lazy river that’s perfect for younger children. If you’re a beach lover, you’re only steps away from beautiful white sand and crystal-clear water. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available to rent, making it easy to spend the day by the ocean. Breakfast at the on-site restaurant was simple but delicious, and Stella made us feel like family every morning. For dinner, there are countless restaurants just minutes away. The location is perfect—close to everything Myrtle Beach has to offer while still feeling relaxing. This resort completely turned our vacation around, and we’ll definitely be back.

We loved our stay at Island Vista Resort. Friendly staff, clean room, beautiful view of the beach, and we loved that it was family-friendly.

It was ok, not as nice as I expected based on the reviews, front desk manager I think he was, wasn’t the greatest, other staff was fine. Were told that several rooms that we asked to upgrade to were booked but the entire stay no one was in them, we know because the room was next to ours.

Cons: Pool area was not as nice as hoped for. Aged and cheap chairs. But the beach was amazing. Parking is horrible as stated in other reviews. But its truly the only bad thing about the property. Overall very good experience. Would definitely stay here again.
