Palms by the Beach Motel

I had a terrible experience staying here. Room 202 had a very strong, unpleasant odor. The blankets and bedcovers were unclean and uncomfortable to use. Unfortunately, the smell was so bad that it clung to all of our clothes. I highly recommend avoiding this hotel.

The property was very ill kept. Rooms baseboards and corners were filthy. Shower curtain hadn’t been changed and was filthy. The hotel provides no towels or soaps shampoos etc. there was a lot of noise all night long and the pool was full of dead bugs and leaves. There was no one in the office for check in and per a not hung on the door was given a cellphone number to call for someone to come. Would not recommend.

The room was ok for the price. No amenities. The water didn’t get hot and the WiFi didn’t work. Couldn’t watch tv.

Nothing

The rooms was not clean our spread had stains everywhere. They have no house keeping so how are things getting sanitized. I will never book again.

Had roaches, bedroom smelled like cigarettes, floors were not mopped. I could go on.

Need to make sure u have it a 100 dollar room deposit! And u need to make sure u give them money back like u say!!

Best Toilet in Myrtle Beach!

Had to go buy toilet paper and wash clothes arrived on a Thursday to find out they wasn’t taking credit cards so I had to use the $7 atm with a limit of $200 twice then the clerk tells me I need to leave a $100 cash deposit that I was not aware of!! Beds was hard lien wasn’t clean tv didn’t wrk no WiFi mains came and said “oh the WiFi always down it’s nothing we can do about it “ so I ask how a Roku tv supposed to work without WiFi he states “use your phone” clerk was very rude didn’t want to give another room not deposit back she stated “bath towels was dirty” !! This was the worst 4 day vacation experience I ever had!!! Very upset!!

This was the worst experience of my life so far. We booked last minute and called the property immediately to be sure she received the booking. She stated she did. I said we will not be there until after midnight, is that okay? She stated it was. When we arrived no one was at the desk. We were left without a hotel for the night and had to book somewhere else. The next day we go at 10am (when they open) no one was there until about 1030. When we asked if we could just have a refund for Friday and we would stay Saturday night the “supervisor” stated we could not stay Saturday night because we didn’t check in Friday. We again told her we tried and she wasn’t there, she said I was here until 4am. It was a complete lie. She was not there we called over 40 times and the door was locked. I asked her why we could not stay Saturday since we paid and the hotel was obviously booked and paid for. She said you’re not understanding you were not here Friday so you cannot stay tonight. She was laughing like it was so funny we were out $400 and she wouldn’t let us stay. Please don’t ever book here. The property itself looked disgusting so it was probably better we didn’t stay anyway.

The room was claimed the staff was very nice the air conditioning was very nice and the pool was clean.

Pretty nice and clean i love it I highly recommend to everyone

Pool could have been cleaner but we were there for the Ocean. Everything was great.

Was placed in the wrong room and staff blamed booking.com Paid extra for a stovetop room and didn’t get placed in one, pool hours were off from the signs and what was posted. They didn’t open in time and closed before said it would

Exceptional

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They even brought us a fan without even having to ask or complain. That was very thoughtful and kind The door didn't have a top latch to keep the toddler from opening. The bed linen had sand underneath the top blanket. The staff had no problem promptly addressing that issue

The property was clean and comfortable. The pool wasn’t opened at the time advertised on the gate.
