The Sandbar Hotel, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

There is as nothing I liked about the room. It was dirty when we arrived. Sand all over the wood floor like it had not been swept at all. Used coffee cup lids in with the clean lids. Window curtains were cut, doorknobs were all loose. Lamps didn’t work. Cabinets were dirty. I have pictures and videos of all of this. I hated the word play games. Ocean front verses ocean view. The website said there was an elevator…NOT unless you were in a certain part. My husband has bad knees and we had to schlep up stairs nightly in staircases that were not lit. All lights were out. Used a flashlight from my car. I have pictures of this also. At 7:30 in the morning they were leaf blowing outside our balcony. The front desk lady was rude and unhelpful. Lots of bums around digging through the dumpster at night when we returned to our room.

I honestly don’t know. The hotel was labeled as oceanfront but was not. Apparently there are 2 different buildings. The bigger rooms are across the street too I’m sure. You have to walk across the street in a dirt field to get to the beach. The music was blaring all night and was not family friendly for children with bedtimes. The rooms were still dirty. You couldn’t walk around the room without your feet turning black. I had to go get cleaning supplies to clean behind the staff. They needed a serious scrub that I wasn’t paying out of pocket for on vacation. There’s no way Wyndham would associate themselves with this place. I’m just incredibly disappointed. Also, if I felt like if I complained during my stay, I would be singled out.

The only thing that bothered me was the pictures on the internet wasn’t the same as the room. The walls are thin, there was a little boy running down the sidewalk screaming at 7:30/8 in the morning for two days😵‍💫

Nothing The hotel wasn't the one that showed in the picture. I thought it was so, I was not expecting the place we stayed. I thought that we were ocean view

Needs upgrades and mattress pads Misleading about beach front and being across the road from the beach

Description when booking said ocean view. It was NOT! When I think ocean view I expect to be able to see the beach from my balcony. The room we originally got was across the street from the beach and the ocean view was blocked by trees. When back to the office and she was able to upgrade my room of course for a fee which was more than what I paid $240 more! So total to get a REAL ocean view it was $450! Ok now let's talk about the hotel itself., kinda cheap looking and not really that nice. Stuff in the room were broken and dirty. You can open the fridge or the freezer because it was blocked by the door. The mattress covers were stained and dirty. The outside chairs on the balcony were broken. The wallpaper was peeling and the shower rod was rusted. For almost $600 ($450 +deposit ) I expected better than that! Probably won't be returning!!

Pleasant

The rooms could use a paint job. The curtains were old and you could see through them. The pool across the street where you check in was okay but the indoor pool for the oceanfront guest was terrible, it felt like a sauna in there. I've stayed at several Wyndham properties and I couldn't believe that they are affiliated with this property. The thermostat was just barely hanging on the wall. The kitchen was nice though. When my wife and I laid in the bed her on one side and myself on the other, we would roll to the center of the bed. The linens that were in the closet for the pull out sofas smelt like stinky feet. I will never stay there again.

The room smelled of floor spray, air conditioning is an old branch which is too loud, floor not clean. Overall, I shouldn’t pay that much for that hotel.

The greatest call out for this hotel would be that it's right across the street from the ocean. Looks like they tried to refurbish them to give them a modern look but shoddy as best. Prices are moderate.

The hotel needs some upgrades. If you need extra blankets or etc. They are not available. The front desks lady. Is not friendly. I would even say, she acts like a person who hates there job. The front desk lady did not want to be bothered with us, the people who are paying to stay there as well as her time. The hotel environment was noisy. I mean from morning til night. I will not be staying there next year!

Nice older place. Easy to get in and out of.

The main issue we had was the roaches, first room we checked into had American and German roaches. The lady in the front office allowed us to check out 2 other additional rooms but it seemed to have the same issue. The cleaning would be the other issue, leftover bottles and trash under the beds and dirty piss stained toilet seats, I personally wouldn’t check in here again with my family
