The Oceanfront Viking Motel

Excellent location. We’ve stayed here before and it wasn’t great but we gave it a second chance and we’re glad we did. It’s under new management and the owners are making tons of improvements including replacing the gross carpet, upgrading the AC, and fixing the elevator. They own another establishment down the street that we frequent regularly. Beach access is fantastic and even wheelchair accessible. Our family of 5 stayed in a 2 bedroom unit with a kitchenette and a beautiful ocean view and it could not have been more perfect for us! It isn’t fancy but felt safe and it’s everything we need for an affordable beach stay! We will be back again!

The motel wasent to bad of a motel the staff was very kind! The room could have been a little cleaner!

The Wi-Fi was poor. Couldn’t even get on the Wi-Fi or barely watch TV. The whole time was there. There were no pots in the room.

Honestly you get what you pay for. The lady at the front desk and the owner accommodated us when we arrived with no hesitation at all when we where upset about the cleanliness of our rooms… you can tell they’re trying to be better. But for the most part , I can’t complain to much. It’s was convenient and it worked for my family of 6. We made the best of it and enjoyed ourselves.

The room really needed some deep cleaning. The curtains were entirely tooooooo long. The stove was just pure nasty. The bathroom needed some strips in the bathtub to prevent slipping in the tub while showering.

The manager in the lady at the desk were very kind enough to stay for me as I was delayed three hours due to an accident in my travels. With that being said, the rooms were dirty curtains were dirty dirt on the walls the lamps. Plastic stripping coming off in the shower no toilet paper holder had to look for the toilet paper just very old and totally needs an upgrade also, I did see insects totally not what I expected and very disappointed.

This property is in desperate need of updates. The cleaning needs to improve. The beds were clean and most of the towels were clean but that’s about it. The floors were super sandy, the kitchen needs Clorox wipes on all surfaces, the walls need to be wiped clean, and the ceiling above the fan was covered in a thick layer of dust, my husband had to clean the toilet before we used it, and the shower was as best as they could get it. The maintenance needs to get in there as the extra bedroom door had slots missing from it, there were holes in most of the walls, the shower had mold and a hole above the ceiling, and the shower and tub ran at the same time so not a lot of water pressure. The staff is not there 24 hrs so that made check out not fun and I was required to give a cash $100 deposit which it did not say that on my booking info. Most of the people also staying here were loud at some point but our last night there it was super loud but they’re front desk is not there so their is no one to complain to. Also not enough parking in the lot so you have to park across the street. Only nice thing is it’s right on the beach and the pool is open to 10pm.

We came out from Arkansas for a whole week. Towels refreshed as needed. Fridge with freezer and stove work great. Really really wish there was a microwave. I brought an electric skillet and an instant pot cause I wasn't certain on the amenities. 4 days into our stay I realized there were flatware in the drawer!!! I suggest bringing a broom or a small vacuum- the beach sand gets everywhere!!! I think there is a laundromat on site- but I don't like to wonder. There is a vending area. Walmart delivers here 🙌 Local channels available, not a smart tv- but we came for the beach not the TV! Literally 3 minute walk down to the beach. There is a rinse station between the sand and the parking lot. I'm not a fan of the swimming pool- but a lot of people were enjoying it. During the pool hours it is quite loud, but reasonably so, the kids were having a blast. Management was diligent in making sure people were following rules.

The staff was really nice. It wasn't an oceanfront hotel like advertised, and it doesn't look like the pictures either!

Good beach view hard to get the cleaners to give out clean towels and stuff we needed front desk was real nice and helpful

We stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights. The mini-condo was a decent size for our group of 6, and the included dishes were a nice touch. However, we ran into a few issues during our stay. While the beds looked clean at first glance, we found sand and dirt between the sheets and had to strip the bed to shake them out before sleeping. Additionally, the front door was misaligned and required a lot of force to push or pull completely closed. On the tech side, the bedroom TV didn't work at all on our first night. To management's credit, they replaced it with a brand-new TV the next day, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi was so slow that we still couldn't really use it. Overall, it was an okay room, but it definitely has room for improvement.

Nice view! Our new beach chairs and body boards were stolen right outside our door and we had an end room.

We had a great experience while we were on vacation.

Great view and price especially for being pet friendly! I revisit every year simply due to the fact my dogs can travel with me! Rooms a little outdated, but new owner is actively involved. Very receptive and friendly with visitors.
