The Iris Motel

Cute clean no frills boutique style hotel at an affordable price minutes from Belmont campus and 12 South Neighborhood with free parking. Communication was outstanding and they even left me a sweet personal handwritten card welcoming me for the weekend ( they knew what I was in town for). Room was uniquely retro inspired and cute. It had everything I needed and the staff were a text away. I can not think of anything negative from this experience other than I could not get the cable to work on the tv. But that is not a big deal. Everything was really great.

Very nice location with a wonderful hotdog/burger joint called Mason's hotdogs next door as well as a Jersey Mike's and an Indian restaurant. The location is perfect and in a cute oldslool motel redesigned for single or couple stays.

The room and property was very clean. Beds were comfortable. It was quiet and felt like a safe location. I missed having staff on the property. I like the human element.

We went for surgery at Vanderbilt and decided to stay the night before for an early surgery time. There were plenty of restaurants within 2 blocks. Although we did realize it was across the road from the clinics we saw the doctor. The hospital was very easy to get to without getting on a major highway. The room was very clean. Plenty of parking right by the room. Check-in was on my phone and they sent me a room code. Will be staying there anytime we go back. Very thankful for the convenience.

Room was good, clean and minimal. Unfortunately had a problem with a/c putting out too much moisture. Staff was very nice about resolving. Very good location, with lots of restaurants within walking distance.

Rooms were nicely renovated Location is in a rough area. Had a guy try to put a code in and open my door three times throughout the night. Smoking outside the rooms was bad. Made the rooms smell like a stale ashtray. Did not feel comfortable staying there alone as a single female.

Everything was very clean & has parking on site. I wouldn’t say that it’s like the Hilton but it was a decent place to stay for a night.

We needed a cheaper place to stay for a doctor’s appointment. Unfortunately, the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. The shower water pressure was poor. The check-in instructions were helpful.

Overall very clean and the staff was very helpful when we had issues with our room code. The bed weren't the best but they served well enough for our one night stay. Overall not a bad place to stay for a quick trip to town.
