The Faust Hotel

One thing of note, the reviews about the A/C are valid. Doesn’t get SUPER cold, but definitely cool enough to be comfortable. We had no issues or complaints, but if you’re a person that likes to crank the A/C to 60 right when you check into a hotel, thats not gonna happen here.

I will definitely be back to this hotel. The staff is amazing and extremely nice. It’s a beautiful boutique hotel in a great area. Walking distance to so many great places to shop & eat. The bed was comfy too!

Great hotel and restaurant. Rooms were very clean and they are very cozy. The only thing I would suggest is making sure AC cools room better.

Excellent communication from before to after checkout. Newly remodeled, everything perfect. Great area. Walking to some places. 10 miss to others try Gruene, TX nearby. We'll definitely be back soon

Exceptionally well renovated, old hotel! It’s a delightfully quirky gem, walls artfully festooned with prints and paintings that you actually want to stop and look at. The owner obviously put their heart and soul into the Faust. The rooms are on the small side, but plush and as comfortable as any hotel I’ve stayed in (which are many). The bathrooms are top-of-the-line. Great little bar/restaurant, and lobby. As important are the staff. Great kudos to one and all as the friendliest, most delightful crew I’ve ever met at a hotel. Is it perfect? Almost. If it were, I wouldn’t have loved it as much!

A great historical hotel to stay in while visiting Gruene. Loved the decor. Our room was comfortable. Loved the big shower. The staff were friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night. Already planning to stay for a return trip to the area.

Very clean and nice staff. Rooms are beautiful!

We were very excited to stay in the Faust after being recently renovated, but the air conditioner was set high and could not be adjusted we could barely sleep, was very uncomfortable and very disappointing. While the thermostat showed that we could adjust to 66 the system would not go below 75. We called maintenance who said the system was locked and they could not lower, they offer another room but the two others we visited were locked as well and the temperature was in the mid 70’s.

Quick trip to town and this turned out to be a perfect little hotel for a couples get away. Would definitely stay again

Loved the bar, Jericho the bar Manager made a killer Old Fashioned. Hotel rooms are cute and well designed but a little warm. TV didn’t have regular channels yet which was a bit frustrating. Staff is super helpful and kind. Great place overall for central location.
