The Faust Hotel

We arrived early and were granted an early check-in to a beautiful corner suite, in celebration of our wedding anniversary, after first staying here for our honeymoon 47 years ago. Valet parking is convenient and the front desk was exceptional. We enjoyed their assistance. The room layout, air conditioning, shower, and other amenities are very nice. We visited the bar, which is also quite elegant, and had nice conversations with both the bartenders and friendly area patrons who were very happy to provide some tips, such as for places to eat and the best locations for tubing. The recent renovations have made the hotel our “go to” for future visits. Thank you for such a wonderful time!

The Faust Hotel was amazing !!!! My friend & I loved it !!!! The staff was so friendly & helpful in everything !!!! The room was great & bathroom very spacious !!!! I would love to stay there again !!!!! Also, the location is wonderful !!!!

The hotel was beautifully furnished and immaculately clean. The service at the desk was efficient. The setting of the bar was luxurious and the service there was very professional. Our server was extremely polite, pleasant, and engaging and made our time in the bar very enjoyable. As for the hotel amenities, we found some areas lacking. The handle broke off the refrigerator the first time I tried to open it. There were no hooks or racks on which to hang clothes, robes, etc in the bathroom. The closet for hanging clothes had a rod only high enough to hang children’s clothes. My and my husband’s clothes were stuffed onto the rod that did not fit adult clothes. In my opinion, that piece of furniture could easily have been modified to accommodate adult hanging clothes. All of those were shortcomings we could deal with for a 24 hr stay. However, the employee who was not at all acceptable was the valet attendant. He acted like a bumbling idiot and could not even put a complete sentence together to answer our questions about valet service. His answers consisted of, “well…..you know…. I can….you know….whatever you think…you know…if you’re going to….oh, you may want to drive somewhere later…..welll, uhh, you know…. That was the receiving attendant. When we were ready to leave, no one offered to help with our bags. My husband had a cash tip in his hand ready but no one had helped. We are both in our 70’s and would’ve appreciated some help. We will not be staying at the Faust again.

The Faust is an icon. When you're there it's like you step back in time. The hotel is very beautiful, nice, clean and well maintained. The staff very so helpful. They cater to your needs and clearly want your stay to be memorable. The bar is the best! Signature cocktails and nicely decorated. Best of the best! We will stay here when in New Braunfels again. Don't miss Myron's Prime Steakhouse too. Top-notch.

A beautiful luxury boutique hotel in downtown New Braunfels. What a great hotel.

The standard room is too small for a king size bed sitting on a platform, no room to negotiate, no appropriate chair, end tables too big and the side table lights were not plugged in and couldn’t get to the plug behind bed, have to go to front desk for ice, a/c vent blows right down on top of bed, was hot and cold all night. Had to ask valet to help with luggage, when I sent for car was told he didn’t get the message, no local tv. For a $350/night room was very disappointed, won’t be back.
