Clean, comfy & convenient home.... Very Pleasant Stay... Would love the opportunity to stay again.

I really appreciated the upgrade to the private room in the back. It was a lot more helpful with those arrangements. Because I was able to easily come and go as I please without disturbing the other guests. Everything was great and no complaints.

It is a veary pleasant room in the historic district of the city. It is important to note that it is a room in a private house, and the hosts own two (very lovely) dogs. This is to avoid disappointment for people who are only looking for private accomodations. Having cleared that, I can say that my experience at the place was very positive. The house is pretty, clean and well decorated. The same goes for the room, which had an very comfortable bed. The location of the place is fairly decent for people without cars, although public transport in the US is generally quite bad. I strongly reccomend the place for people who don't mind a more of an AirBnB experience.

The property was beautiful, I loved all the plants that was around the house. N/A

How pretty the house was The dogs, thinking we had the house to ourselves like an AIRBNB normally would, didn’t think everytime we came in the dogs would bark at us.. or that there were other random people staying there too

We did not have a meal included but the coffee was set up and ready for us. We were treated like family in this lovely home. We especially loved the dogs! Our host even offered to drive us to the port to catch our cruise. I can't think of anything. The whole experience was exceptional.

This is a b&b no doubt. Bed comfortable and bathroom clean. No worries for me but I was in the loft; circular stairs very narrow.

Walked the whole of our stay. Great location to everywhere no need to drive
-
nothing Barking, growling dogs present. Dog hair in house. NO pets allowed yet homeowner has his 2 dogs there and I’m highly allergic to dogs as well as afraid of them. (especially dogs that jump up and growl!! as in this case!)
-
What breakfast? We were told no breakfast after we got there No private restroom, owners dogs barking at night, no breakfast included
-
The host was responsive Small room no bathroom, part of home and this was not explained well in ad

Great location near to Magazine Street. Host was very accommodating and helpful! This is a shared property, so bathroom is shared with others. Also a little expensive for quality of the room but it was during Mardi Gras so I presume prices were higher.

We booked this "secret deal" on a whim. We had originally booked a location on St. Charles Avenue, and this was a 10 day stay. However, when we saw the amount of tourists visiting for the Thanksgiving football game, and general traffic, we decided last minute to find somewhere quiet and off the beaten path. Thanks to Booking.com we were able to cancel our reservation and re-book using this location. The cottage was absolutely adorable. It was just the typical Garden District spot we were hoping for, and much better in value, location, etc. than our original booking. The home owners and neighbors were friendly, the location was quiet, and located within quick walking or driving distances to what we needed. We especially enjoyed the garden in the back of the home and seeing the home grown garden by the chef/owner. It was a very "European" style stay, which was a new experience to us. We also found the other guests, in the room next to us, very friendly and helpful for information on local attractions. I wouldn't say there was not anything we "didn't" like...however there were just a couple of things we were "confused" about as new "cottage" travelers. While we were so amazed to stay at the home of a local famous chef, when he suggested "making dinner" for us...we assumed it was complimentary and part of the stay. However, luckily, we overheard him speaking to the other guests about the "cost" of this...so we politely declined...as we were not fully prepared for this event. The chef/host was very gracious about the situation. We definitely want to return here and plan for this extra expense on our next stay. The only other "caution" I would warn about is the "bathroom". If you are not use to sharing, or on a time schedule, this location shares the 1 guest bathroom between the two bedrooms. Likewise, there was only 1 towel offered per guest (which we were fine with, but we know others have issues with this). Plenty of space and super comfy beds, cable, and general amenities. There was also a patio jacuzzi - highlighted on the website, but we were not informed if we could use it or not.
