Lamothe House

Wonderful old New Orleans courtyard-centered house with a pool, secure parking and excellent location. Mere steps from Frenchmen Street, right across Esplanade from the French Quarter. A block away from the Market. The property is a work in progress, and over the years I’ve seen it really bloom into a beautiful boutique hotel operation.

The staff and location for excellent. Wonderful place to stay at if in New Orleans. Close to everything and highly recommend. Thank you to all the staff for being so helpful and kind on whatever we needed assistance on.

Beautiful architecture. Wonderful staff. Within walking distance of major activities.

Hotel was amazing, parking was extra but safe and close (just behind the hotel). Pool and hot tub. One reason I chose this hotel was because it was August... in Louisiana... it is 1 million degrees (we live in north Louisiana so we already knew), so we NEEDED a swimming pool. I dove into the water after walking around all day and sweating out half my weight, and the water was 237 degrees. The maintenance man walked by while I was floating and I made a comment about it. He said he tried to turn it down but his boss wouldn't let him. PLEASE LET HIM!! Especially in the summer time.

I loved this hotel so much. It’s so cute and gives that living in the quarter vibe when you’re visiting and it’s literally right next to the quarter. I walked just about everywhere. And the staff were so sweet and friendly. I will be visiting the city again and this will 1000% bc the place I’ll stay at again when I do

Loved the stay! The staff was top notch and the pool was such a welcome addition after a long day of walking. The cold water in the lobby was helpful as well. The parking is super convenient and the location is unbeatable. The room is small, and a bit of furniture rearranging would probably create a better flow to the room, but that is minor as we don’t come to NOLA to hang out in the room. Overall I would definitely stay again. Stay here if you’re looking for real New Orleans charm, instead of a cookie cutter experience.

Everything about this stay was amazing. I was looking for a stay within the community and I found it here. Lamothe is situated in a lovely community surrounded by neighbors leaving their homes to go to work or just walking their dogs. Nice cafes are also nearby. The hotel itself was clean with an outdoor pool. The hotel is within short walking distance of Frenchmen St., the French Market, Canal Street , the Jazz Museum, the Louis Armstrong Park and the Baldwin & Co. Bookstore. If you need more information about what's going on in town ask Ms. Carol and Theresa. Both were so welcoming, helpful and willing to share information. I'm already making plans to return.
