Madame Isabelle's House In New Orleans - Hostel

Awesome staff! A lot of activities and tours that the staff promote. Every day there's a different activity. Game nights, BBQ, tours in the city and a lot more.

Staff is amazing, really helpful, kind and understanding. The place is lovely, close to everything you need. Really loved staying here !

1. The ventilation in our private room was so loud. It wasn't fixable. My mom needed ear-plugs to be able to sleep. 2. The room was not properly cleaned. Dust on the bed's headboard, a dead fly on the floor, some previous guest's tangled hair in the bathroom. We showed all of this to the staffs (with image evidence) and they told us they would talk to the cleaning people. 3. The property said it was 8 minutes away from the French Quarter, which is technically true, but to be frank, most of the attractions and restaurants are more like 20-30 minutes away, so do prepare to walk for quite a bit. 4. The water pressure in the bathroom was not enough to wash my hair.

I love hostel life and this was a very nice hostel with great shared spaces and a functional kitchen. Provided breakfast was good, but unnecessary. Nice, chill, not a party hostel. More like something you'd find in Latin America The ability to do laundry would have been great

Great locality, great people, great breakfasts.

The people staying there were mostly so nice and inclusive. There is a free breakfast. The 8 women room was by far the worst room. The shower did not drain at all. That is very disgusting. I let staff know but they did not take care if the issue.

Short on lower bunks.

The staff was welcoming and fun to interact with. The house was really comfortable and clean. I met some aweseome people and had a great time staying there. The location is killer, you cant beat it. Nothing really. Obviously Id prefer a room solo but the bunk beds made me feel like I was in adult camp.

The breakfast was also great with a few different options to keep you fed, like bagels, toast, cereal, oatmeal, hard-boiled eggs, ham, fruit. And plenty of coffee too! The room was also really great. I am a light sleeper, so I worried that I might not appreciate sharing a room with so many people. However, the curtains on the beds help provide extra privacy and the entire house was incredibly clean. The employees are also so kind and welcoming, it really made all the difference for me as a solo traveler. Melissa and Felix were especially lovely and provided so much warmth and joy for every guest. Finally, the vibes are immaculate! The whole house is brimming with really nice people (both staff and guests), giving you opportunities to have quiet, chill conversations or more lively, exciting events too. I would have preferred a bottom bunk for both stays, but I also understand that it's simply the luck of the draw.

Nice hostel with some private rooms in a great location near the French Quarter and Marigny district. Lovely yard and hot tub. Friendly staff.

They are super friendly and the hostel has a nice homey feel. Can't think of anything bad.
