The staff was fabulous and they made you feel at home. Felix is the greatest concierge ever!! I would recommend this hostel to all. Great experience! N/A

I like the jacuzzi, it was very accessible to nearby stuff like bourbon street. It’s a walkable area. I highly recommend of you travel solo you can meet other soloist and do fun activities with them or you can do it solo. In the all female room I wish there were a window but it’s fine.

Review of Madame Isabelle’s House Hostel 7.28.26 Madame Isabelle’s House Hostel should really be described as a home for global travelers. The owner of this business has created a warm, nurturing environment, decorated with care and attention to detail. People from around the globe are attracted to this space, and their conversations are encouraged by the activities scheduled daily, which include a special communal experience each morning in the kitchen around complimentary breakfast, and once weekly dinners. Socializing is catalyzed by a deck with a hot tub, a library, a music room equipped with guitars, a keyboard, a phonograph player, a plethora of games and a chess board, a water fountain and a sun deck with a chair swing. The team cleans continuously, creating an immaculate environment. They leave no stone unturned to create a phenomenal experience for their guests. I highly recommend this establishment !!! No issues

The location was amazing less than a 10min walk to the French Market and 15 to the French Quarter. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The private room didn’t have its own AC unit and it became very warm at night making it difficult to sleep. Although the staff very helpful and fixed it.

I was really looking forward to my stay at Madame Isabelle’s based on all the glowing reviews online, but overall, the experience left a lot to be desired. Here are the main issues from my stay:Inconsistent & Undercooked Meals: The hostel offers free weekly meals, which sounds like a great perk, but the execution fell short. On multiple occasions, the rice served with both the jambalaya and the red beans & rice was completely undercooked and hard, making the food pretty hard to eat.Sneaky Upselling Tactics: Guests were encouraged to visit the owner’s restaurant with the promise of "complimentary wine." However, once we actually got there, it felt less like a genuine guest perk and more like a high-pressure marketing strategy to get us to buy expensive food and extra drinks.Uncomfortable Atmosphere: On the surface, the hostel tries to present a fun, social vibe. However, during my stay, the environment felt highly cliquish and uncomfortable for outsiders, which took away from the welcoming experience I expected. While the property has potential and looks pretty at first glance, the underlying culture and pushy sales tactics left a bad taste in my mouth. I won't be returning.

Disappointed – Doesn't Live Up to the Hype I was really looking forward to my stay at Madame Isabelle’s based on all the glowing reviews online, but overall, the experience left a lot to be desired. However, once we actually got there, it felt less like a genuine guest perk and more like a high-pressure marketing strategy to get us to buy expensive food and extra drinks. Fake Vibe & Behind-the-Scenes Drama: On the surface, the staff seems friendly and the hostel presents a fun, social atmosphere. But after chatting with one of the staff members, I learned that the dynamic behind the scenes is incredibly cliquish and toxic. He even shared how management/staff turned on him and bizarrely accused him of pouring random liquids into the washing machine just because it stopped working. While the property has potential and looks welcoming at first glance, the underlying culture and pushy sales tactics left a bad taste in my mouth. I won't be returning.

The breakfast was great and I was very grateful to have that included in my already well priced booking, and right before my flight out! They had a hot tub, an entertainment room, events all throughout the week including a game night, a really beautiful home and kitchen, and super well maintained. 100% would come back <3 They also had some adorable and sweet cats, and a gorgeous and calming garden. Close walk to a lot of great spots too!

The hostel was awesome! We had our own room with bathroom and it was clean and comfortable. We even had our own shower, which I didn’t expect! So loved the breakfast selection and everyone there was so kind and friendly. If back in NOLA, I would definitely stay here again!!!
