beautiful spacious room nothing

The place was nice but older. It was clean but the room we had had an outside door that faced the street and the street was very loud all through the night. I'd stay again but request a different room.

The location the location the location!! So great to be able to walk to dining and shopping and it was right on the bus line for further trips. Loved the beautiful pool too.

My fiancé and I had the pleasure of staying at Melrose Mansion and absolutely loved the location, the area and the staff. Huge shoutout to Ms. Emily for taking care of us! We will definitely be back going forward anytime we visit NOLA.

Moreover, the bed was extremely clean and very comfortable, as was the bathroom. The breakfast on the other hand could use some improvement. The bagels and the scrambled eggs were great. There was also a sausage/pancake combo item that was extremely delicious! It was something that we have never tried before. Another important mention is the safety surrounding the building. The area does possess some homeless individuals and some suspicious individuals, but for the most part we felt very safe. Our advice is to just be cautious walking at night, especially if you are dressed nicer. Opt for a Lyft or Uber, it is only around a $5-$10 ride from the French Quarter or the Toulouse Street Wharf. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Melrose Mansion and we definitely recommend it if you are looking for a unique stay here in New Orleans. We hope you have a wonderful time!

Beautiful old home, amazing air conditioning, quiet, great location. Property is very secure and safe. Very helpful and friendly staff. Would stay again.

Lovely hotel! The staff was incredible and it was a great spot to walk all around the city!

Beautiful old mansion in a location perfect for the FQ and Marigny corridor. The pool is really nice. Breakfast is basic but enough and it’s also close to coffee shops and a good bakery. Staff is super friendly . Definitely a great landing pad for a NOLA visit. We will be back.

The property is under new ownership, needs alot of repairs!! We have stayed here many times over the years. Staff was very kind except a young man working the office very rude wouldn’t let our 2 friends in the hotel because they didn’t stay there. He forgot about hotels are in the hospitality business!! We had rented 4 rooms for 5 nights,our party will never go there again! It takes just one dingdong to hurt the hotels reputation!

The parking was private and easy to get to from the hotel building. The breakfast could be much better - it was disappointing.

Definitely worth visiting/staying again.
