The courtyard and pool areas were really nice, cozy and well maintained. The room was amazing- so much space and beautiful ceiling architecture. The rooms ac was perfect. The room stayed comfortable in the heat dome/wave/thing. Would recommend!

Architecturally Beautiful property! Wonderfully secluded relaxing pool and hot tub area! Large comfortable beds, amazing bathroom renovations, and real antique wood floor. I would definitely stay again!

The staff were very friendly and helpful with suggestions on things to do. It is a beautiful historic building - which is exactly why we booked it. It’s on a gorgeous tree lined street, close enough to walk to Bourbon Street without being at the center of the craziness at night. And the pool area was wonderful!

The pool and hot tub were across the street in the main property, so we didn’t use them. The courtyard where we stayed was nice.

TBH, Staying in a 175 year old room is new to me. Usually stick with the trusty old chain hotels but thought I’d step out of the box a bit and try this. Definitely very happy! Place has some cool vibes, room was spacious, amenities were good, staff super friendly and location was awesome. No problems recommending!

Staff were amazing and helpful. We had issue with plumbing in room that couldn’t be fixed quickly but were relocated with no fuss.

I stayed in room 1D, which was generally in a rather run-down condition. There was barely any proper lighting—only one dim bulb near the bed. Whenever I needed to see anything clearly, I had to leave the bathroom light on. The bedside lamp also had a loose connection and flashed repeatedly when switched on, which was particularly alarming in the middle of the night. The far more serious issue, however, was the broken toilet. It would flush once, but after that it would not flush properly again. As a result, throughout our stay, we had to fill the waste bin with water from the extremely slow-running tap and pour it into the toilet to flush it manually. Having to use a waste bin as a bucket to dispose of toilet waste was deeply unhygienic, disgusting, and completely unacceptable for a hotel stay. The receptionist was friendly, but the issue was not resolved. When I raised it again the following day, I was simply told to hold down the flush button for longer. A plumber later came to inspect the toilet, but it was still not properly repaired. There were also problems in the room above us, and maintenance workers were moving around the property and carrying out repairs throughout the morning. Despite this, our toilet remained defective until we checked out. This is particularly disappointing because the property itself has a great deal of charm and the staff were kind. However, none of that can compensate for having no reliably functioning toilet and being forced to flush human waste manually with water from a waste bin for the entire stay. P.S. After the stay, I contacted the owner to request an appropriate discount. The owner now appears to question the seriousness of the situation because I did not approach her several times a day.

Easy to park on the steeet nearby. Really lovely welcome by the receptionist. Secure access. Quiet. Facilities in the room were fine. I think that the dated nature of the property wouldn't suit everyone. But it fits in so well with the New Orleans atmosphere!

The location, free parking on the street, staff were very helpful and friendly. The pool was an extra lovely bonus You have to realise it’s an old building so doesn’t have all the up to date plugs etc.

The staff was amazing and we loved the room. They even left a bottle of wine in my room for my birthday! Beautiful mansion and an incredible value. We will definitely be back! Nothing

I stay in a different hotel each time I go to Nola. This time it was rathbone. I knew the location would be ok. And it was. Addressed took us to wrong building. Office is across the street. Fine. Not unusual in Nola. We got the furthest room in the back. View was dug up septic pipes. Job has been done but ground still hasn’t been put back right. I understand maintenance is needed but it was mentioned at all. Even just to apologize for having a view of an orange vinyl caution fence. Maybe there wasn’t other rooms available but would have been nice to been made aware some how. Room was nice. Clean. Shower was nice! Real nice compared to some In the older hotels I usually stay in. I love old hotels. Our room wasn’t original to the property but still cool little spot. Locked gate also so I’m we did feel safe. If you’re looking to stay just outside of the FQ this would work.

The staff was very helpful and very accommodating; super easy check in process. Be warned that not all of the rooms have historic charm. The lighting in the bathroom is horrible for ladies who want to see themselves to apply makeup. If you don't expect all the comforts of a normal hotel, you won't be disappointed (bath mat, multiple bedside table lamps, etc.). Great location to our favorite "sleepy" side of the quarter.

We loved the location, the beds were actually really comfortable, and the pool and hot tub were a highlight of the trip! Husband said front desk lady was snippy with him.
-
Very nice bathroom and my room was huge There were a lot of little bugs in the bathroom
-
The location and size of room. The bathroom roof started leaking.

The staff was friendly, the amenities were well suited, within reasonable walking distance to public transportation and famous landmarks. We understand it's difficult to maintain a historical building but many things needed repair, the lock to our room didn't engage and the management failed to address the security issue within a reasonable time which violated the innkeeper laws. However, they did compensate us for the incident by refunding one night's stay.
