The hotel was pretty much exactly what I expected—quite bad—but the lower price was the only real benefit. That’s why I was extremely frustrated when they refused to return my security deposit. I followed all the rules, didn’t damage anything, and spent as little time at the property as possible. I called the hotel multiple times and spoke with several employees. Each time, I was told they would mail me a check for my deposit. It’s now been more than three weeks, and I still haven’t received anything. At this point, I’ve given up on getting my money back, so I’m leaving this review because it’s the only way I can share my experience and warn other guests.

The reason it’s priced low is because of the condition of the hotel. The staff were very nice, WiFi was spotty but that’s in most hotels and if your in NOLA you are not in the hotel much anyways besides to sleep so this provided exactly that. I traveled solo and had no issues. Do not stay here if you are expecting luxury.

The sheets were actually clean. Reading the reviews and staying at similar motels, I had concerns that I would need to stop by a Walmart. But the sheets were almost new and the comforter was fine. They padlock the upstairs rear fire exit at night. That's a fire code violation.

Live the historical side of it!! And it was quiet but still close to everything!! That was probably the most uncomfortable mattress lol, felt like a pool floaty. Rooms were small but we didn’t mind that as we spent most of our time out in town!

The Entrance Senary. Random Guest around the area.

Pretty good location. Reasonable price comparatively. Cleanliness is... Questionable. Rooms and the hotel are in a pretty bad state. Had to ask for the towel. Lots of homeless in/around the property. Bad sound isolation. Found a hair in the bathroom and the bedroom.

Needed a last minute place. I wouldn’t recommend. Pretty ick, awful bed, gross bedding. You have to leave your key with the hotel each time you leave. Staff were nice.

Horrible place and staff. It’s old, smelly and dirty. If I could give it a zero I would. DO NOT STAY THERE!!!!

  • Engine customer Apr 2026

Probably the most horrible hotel experience ever. Just… don’t.

The front desk associate was kind. Everything. It was messy and unacceptable. The location was awful!

  • Engine customer Apr 2026

The lady at the front desk, was polite. The place needs to be completely gutted and remodeled. There is black mold, tripping hazards, holes in the floors, corroded bathtubs, dirty/stained sheets, urine stains on box mattresses, evidence of bed bug’s on mattresses, no drainage in sinks/tubs.

I’ll be honest, I didn’t realize my checkout time and that part was my mistake. But they packed up and removed all my belongings without informing me. When I came back, I explained it was unintentional, offered to pay, and asked if I could extend my stay. Instead, they kept my $60 deposit, asked for another deposit with higher rent, and even charged me just to get my own belongings back. I chose to leave. I had to book another hotel last minute, which cost more, but it was a relief to get out of there. What really upset me was that my MacBook charging brick and skincare items were missing. The new front desk staff member did try to help, but when I calmly brought it up, Ms. Brooke became defensive and said everything had been packed. I checked multiple times and only found the cords. I even opened my suitcase at the front desk to show I wasn’t making this up. I ended up taking a total loss of $128. This was a genuinely frustrating experience, and I wouldn’t stay here again.

Room was dingy and the bathroom door was rotting away. The door to the room was about as thin as cardboard. The WiFi signal was decent. I had to wait 10 minutes at the front desk before anybody even came by to check me in. I know that happened to somebody else because when I was trying to sleep in the next morning, somebody at the front desk was shouting “HELLO…?” for like 30 minutes straight. I was frequently woken up by loud conversations people were having in the front lobby because the walls and doors were so thin and the people were so loud. These loud drunken conversations continued from midnight till about 5:45 am. The only good thing about this place is that it offers a cheap stay really close to the French Quarter but unless I was dirt poor and desperate I’ll never go back here again.

The staff were nice. That’s all I have to say about this place The place did not match the price (non refundable) it demanded. The walls were dirty. Paint was peeling. The ceiling and mirrors had cracks! The bathroom was filthy with mold and random door pieces used to repair cracks. The bedding had burn holes and miscellaneous stains. The owner was also seen berating her staff in front of guests for posting helpful information about the festival happening in the city. I will NOT be returning!
