Royal Inn of New Orleans

We arrived here late at night. Me and 2 kids. My kids dubbed it "the Royal Prison Yard of New Orleans". There were a group of kids chilling near the front door. There's a fence with a gate you have to go through to get to the parking lot. We ended up staying somewhere else as it did not feel safe to bring young kids into.

Never been anywhere so sketchy in my life. Ten minutes is all it took and we LEFT. I was so uncomfortable I actually put my protection on my waistband the whole time. Waste of $130.

Rooms weren’t even cleaned. Looks like the housekeeping just goes and doesn’t even switch sheets. Like they just mak the bed half ass and leave it for the next people. They looked dirty and stained

Secured property, bus stop is near, groceries and other stores are near. For Mardi Gras it’s just 4 mins in bus.

Location was not far from downtown. Area was a bit rough but Walmart and fast food places nearby. Was very quiet at night. rooms clean and the housekeeping was kind and provided fresh towels daily. No complaints

It was nasty with died bug in the lights

I like that we were close to Mardi gras I didn't like that we paid $200 a night for a $40 a night room because of the stupid website. And the room is disgusting, there's Gunk on the walls the fridge doesn't have any shelves in it plus it's all rusty. The water made my skin feel like it was covered in lotion. The city is covered in trash.

Didn’t like they came in my room while I wasn’t there and cleaned it ! I didnt need my room cleaned !! My belongings were in there but I’ve never stayed at a hotel that goes in ur room when u not there ! They also came in my room and turned back on my a/c while I wasn’t there Invading my privacy when I’m not there

How they had the gate to come in Hotel couldn’t really sleep too many loud ppl

It was my first time to Nola and it was a last minute trip. I wanted to have fun without hurting my pockets, so I chose this. I started receiving bad reviews from the area the moment I got in the cab after landing. Drivers even told me that they go there at night. They were right. Parking is gated, you don’t get in contact with reception because it’s gated. My anxiety went from 0 to 100. 5 am I heard a woman screaming for help, saying please call 911 he took my phone. I had to check out before my time and pay double the price in French quarter. Nobody has ever reached out for my refund or anything.

Comfortable bed. The facility is fenced off Very dangerous neighborhood. Transit was a little hit and miss. The water is so hard that soap won't wash off your skin

It looks scary when you got to go Thur security gate but feel very safe. And the room was clean and very comfortable
