Best Western New Smyrna Beach Hotel & Suites

The rooms are large and clean. Just a heads up they took out the dishes and parking m is 23$ a night

There was a lot of space in the room, more than I expected. Had a nice living room/kitchen with full size fridge and microwave and lots of cabinet space with absolutely nothing in them! A few dishes or utensils would have been nice for restaurant leftovers. Decent view of the beach. Room was clean but had a horrible odor that smelled like cat pee. We called the front desk and they brought up an air freshener spray and said to keep it which was nice but the odor never went away.

This property was in need of some major maintenance. There was a lot of moisture & dampness everywhere which is understandable for a beachfront hotel but our carpet & bedding were very damp! The balcony left a lot to be desired with 1 dirty cheap plastic chair and a loud old rusty ac compressor on it to where you couldn’t even hear one another speak. The bathroom was old & dingy in appearance with stains in the bathtub. One elevator was broken so there was only one small elevator working for the whole hotel where everyone tried to jam in at once or wait for 15-20 mins for the next trip. Overall we were very disappointed with the quality of the hotel and will not be staying at any Best Western Hotels in the future nor would I recommend this particular hotel to anyone! 👎

The hotel needs some updating. We were overcharged for parking but they did fix it. The pool never had towels. The room had some 2 roaches during our stay. I was rather disappointed in the stay.

From what I understand the hotel is closing in a few weeks and being sold. Most of the employees have quit and the hotel is running on a skeleton crew. Room was never cleaned in the 8 days we stayed there. I did get some clean towels and sheets on the 4th day but did everything myself. Love the views and the bones of the hotel. Hopefully it will be better managed once the new owners take over. Restaurant was supposed to open at 7am every morning but didn’t open until 7:30-8. They have poached eggs on the menu, but when I ordered them, they said they weren’t poached but rather steamed; I just ordered them fried. The hallways had trash and dirty towels piled up the whole time we were here too. The room across the hall had a door that was propped open the whole time we were here and the parking garage area had people living out of their cars.

Hidden charges like about $25 anight just to park your car! Front desk girl wasn't very nice

Only 1 elevator was working. It was a bit of inconvenience many times during our stay

Glad to hear from the current staff that this Best Western will soon be remodeled starting after Labor Day weekend. Much needed to be done. Over all stay was OK. Staff is friendly, just short handed. Also, they charge $25 per day for parking.

It's an older, but truly charming property. The staff was wonderful!

The ocean view excellent, nice balcony, staff great. Only issue is the elevator is a bit old and slow (not a big deal). I’ll come back again…

This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I counted 23 bugs on the walls and ceiling before I finally got into bed at 3am because I was afraid to fall asleep. I slept with a pillow case on my head and sheets all the way to my chin with only mouth and nose exposed. My air conditioner didn't cool properly and made intermittent noise. On the exterior the air conditioner was rusted, bent and hanging partially off the wall. I'm guessing that's why after only three hours of sleep I woke up with terrible sore throat and headache. There were 2inch roaches roaming the patio at night because exterior lights couldn't be turned on due to sea turtle hatchlings protected by the state. My room was not cleaned (dirt, dust and hair in found in bathroom) and the outlets were so dusty I didn't dare plug anything into them for fear of fire. There were holes and scrapes and cracks everywhere in the entire suite and balconies that were beyond repair. The room smelled like a combination of fish and urine. I was furious with the condition of my room and the hotel in general. The elevator (only one of two working) had stains on the doors and scratches everywhere and looked like it had been 30years since it had been painted. Wish I could attach my pictures to this review. I got my room comped and you literally couldn't pay me to stay there again. Heard many stories from other guests similar to my complaints. If the price is too good to be true there's a reason!

Great stay, easy check in and checkout. Great area

We had a wonderful time . Great view from the balcony and easy access to the beach. They only had one elevator working at the time but overall it was a great experience.

Beach view was realy nice !! The only complaint we have was the beds , not comfortable at all , hard and noise .

Beach frontage and pool were awesome

This hotel is definitely dated. Our room key would have to be read 3-4 times before it finally unlocked the door. The room had an old musty smell. One of the two elevators was not working. Check in was very quick and the gentleman at the front desk was very polite. The hotel is conveniently located to pretty much everything you need while in New Smyrna. Overall, it was a mediocre stay and we actually ended up leaving a day early and driving back home. Probably would not return to this hotel.

The way to get on beach was absolutely a gig saw puzzle.. We packed up the next morning and went to another hotel and with all f this still was charged 230.00 ridiculous! I DO NOT SUGGEST THIS HOTEL AT ALL.
