The Riverview Hotel

Always enjoy our stay at The Riverview Hotel, and The Grille is excellent as well.

The staff was exceptional .. We loved the location we could see the river from our room. We did feel the place needs some renovations for example the table in our patio needs to be painted and deck looks old needs to be stained. also felt the pool area needs some tlc.. especially after visiting the spa's pool which was so inviting and beautiful.

It was a very nice stay and experience, although I wish there was a microwave even at the lobby to heat our food, but other than all was good

Do yourself a favor stay any place else but here!

Fantastic stay! Always an amazing stop for summer vacation

A very charming old hotel. The property is upgraded and comfortable but keeps the old time charm. The pool and lobby and front porch are adorable. The location next to the river is great. We enjoyed our morning coffee on our balcony!

Took awhile to get attention at the bar but as soon as management found out upon leaving, they stepped it up!!! Compensation is everything. Bought a beer lol

Very cozy, charming, filled with character. Clean, comfortable, friendly/helpful staff. Close to beach, shops, great restaurants. Perfect getaway night!

Our stay here was absolutely amazing! The room was so cool and vintage, but also modernized! The pool was a perfect temperature, and we were walking distance from the beach! We can’t wait to return!

A Great place. The front desk when we arrived John gave us all the information about New Smyra Beach and the history of the Riverview hotel. The room was a bit small but who needs a lot of room for just sleeping. The resturant next door was great and the included breakfast was also great and the staff was outstanding.

Wonderful room

The Riverview Hotel is an absolutely charming historic Victorian building. The rooms are spacious and lovely and have very large balcony patios with seating and fans overlooking the river. They have cucumber, lemon water and fresh lemon cookies in the foyer for the guests as well as plenty of coffee, tea, and ice. Probably the best part of staying at the Riverview hotel is your included breakfast voucher for the absolutely adorable mermaid café next-door. The mermaid Café is precious and all of their food is House made and delicious. The hashbrowns were finally graded and wonderful. The Belgian waffles were scrumptious and the owner, Jim, is so charming. He threw in extra coffee and beignets at no charge for a breakfast we were using a voucher for. I highly recommend a stay at The Riverview Hotel and enjoying your breakfast at the mermaid café.

The staff were awesome it was so cozy we use to stay at the Hampton inn but it was full so tried river view from now on we will be staying here. We loved it plus the breakfast at mermaid cafe is included.
