Rodeway Inn Near JFK Airport

Close to JFK. Upgrades to room were good. Bed was not comfortable.

Terrible location. This was more of a residential inn, with homeless residents and was under construction and behind bulletproof glass. Very scary and unmarked building in a residential area. I immediately tried to contact booking.com to cancel and change to a different location. I couldn't get through to Booking.com, but I felt very unsafe in the the environment there as a single woman with a kid. My kid was very nervous and ultimately I gave up trying to contact Booking.com and told the hotel I needed to cancel and I found an Uber asap to take me to a nearby airport motel that was actually a motel.

It turned out better than I expected it was going to. The neighborhood is completely unappealing except that it was close to JFK and very close to our family. There are no amenities to speak of. There is no lobby, just a closet in a hallway that has been converted to a manager’s booth, where he is completely locked in and transacts through bullet-proof glass. The room, however, was small but perfectly clean and recently renovated. There is no lamp, no fridge, etc., but it was comfortable and convenient and it suited our needs well. Although there is no parking lot, we street parked directly in front of the hotel entrance with no issues the entire stay. Was not impressed with the neighborhood, but due to the ease of parking I did not feel unsafe or uncomfortable. I wouldn’t suggest this hotel to anyone looking for a NYC vacation, but being in town for my niece’s baby shower it worked very well. I wouldn’t suggest use it again.

Close to JFK and a place to sleep. Not much more of a place to stay for a night.

Tha bathroom it was recently updated. Location and condition. Could not find the front desk. It seemed like constuction is going on and materials was just lying around. The room was small the bathroom was very modern.

Bed was very hard

Overall, a disappointing stay. The room was very small, and cleanliness was an issue, with hairs in the bed, stained sheets, and sticky floors. Unfortunately, the stay did not meet expectations.

I received fresh towels every day but bed was not made I wish they put microwave inside the rooms for their customers who are stay for more than one day not even just put some microwaves in because sometimes you have things to heat up

Bathroom was half cleaned I booked non smoking room but every time I go in the bathroom it smells like cigarettes smoke

Sure the room was small - but it had a HUGE comfortable clean bed to stretch out on, after hours in a cramped economy seat and waiting at the airport. The bathroom was clean, so were the towels. Good quality liquid soap, shampoo and bodywash provided. The toilet paper was forest sustainability - an extra plus The internal lock on the door was broken or had been removed. There was no problem but I would have felt even more secure had it been there

I liked the king size bed. There were a few stray hairs from the cleaning staff that I noticed on the bed, which was not for me. I do recognize it can be hard when you have long hair, but a thorough check is imperative.

The location is convenient when flying in and out of JFK. The cleanliness as a whole was not great. The toilet had marks, the bedding was full of stains, and there was hair on a lot of the stuff.

Rooms were basic but not the cleanest. Sheets were stained and towels had hair on them.
