Sleep Inn Bronx - Belmont

I was not able to stay at this property since they indicated on the same day that I was arriving that they had to close hotel due to sewage issues. they offered an alternative place which I indicated was not going to work. I asked for refund as they promised, but I am still waiting for refund after more than 10 days. I was charged for this reservation but hotel was not operating. They have not refunded the money charged for my reservation

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The Internet was working. The environment was horrible, with an intimidating group of youngsters causing loud nuisance right next to the hotel late at night for many hours. Parking was full, so had to park elsewhere. Mediocre room, quite small. Check-in took a long time. Smell of drug abuse from other rooms. Minimalistic breakfast room.

The hotel was a good location for where we wanted to be. It appeared to be very clean. We arrived and were told our reservation had been canceled 2 days before but we received no such notification. They said they were forced to cancel because of a sewage leak in the basement. Fair enough. However, as stated, we received absolutely no communication prior to our arrival. The staff made weak apologies and no effort was made to assist us in finding alternative accommodations. So, I'm having to stand there in the lobby and try to find another hotel and arrange and pay for an additional ride to this different hotel (which was *not* as close to where we wanted to be; but at least it was clean and had a vacancy). Also ended up paying considerably more for my room at the alternate hotel. The clerk did at least call the manager. But the manger never showed their face and obviously didn't instruct the clerk to help us in any way. This was an abysmal failure of customer service and I doubt I will *ever* stay at a Sleep Inn again (or any of their affiliated hotels).

Would not stay at this hotel for any reason; did not find another hotel so stayed here but was a mistake.

What should you write if you book 7 days and on the 3rd day, in the evening, you are told to check out. Preferably right away or the next morning. We're closing the hotel! We can't say why. They just let me check in or does anyone here believe that this was not foreseeable. Now there is the fact that I booked this with Booking. They couldn't offer me an equivalent or different hotel in the evening, or to put it another way, they didn't want it. I should clarify the whole thing in Germany. Unbelievable! What is a hotline for then!? Of course I had to book another hotel for the night at my expense and of course because the prices were higher at short notice. I would like to point out to all customers who book with Booking that in such a case they will neither be helped nor can they expect financial compensation. Nothing like this has ever happened to me. It is then probably safer to book a package tour and not through Booking.

Hotel had to be evacuated due to a water leak the day before our arrival. I only found out because I called with a question. I hope to have my money refunded soon.

it was near Fordham University Firstly, when I arrived price indicted in confirmation letter was added with 300 dollars. secondly, I ve previously indicated that I will arrive early, nevertheless they made me pay additional 40 usd to move in

in general everything was good and is within walking distance to shopping areas, public transportation and hospital washer and dryer were not functioning it would of been great to be able to wash there instead of going out.

We liked the privacy and the staff. Although there were some minor problems (such as, our room door was sticking on the bottom; the dryers in the laundry room for the guests were broken; the gym was closed for repair; and the TV needed minor adjustments), overall it was a good stay. The staff was attentive in anything we asked for. For example, when I called the desk about the grainy picture on the TV, the front desk guy came immediately to fix it, and he did. Also, when we needed fresh towels, we asked a cleaning staff member and she HAPPILY gave us towels and other items we needed. I would have liked it better if the amenities were all functional.

The room was nice and clean. The hotel staff were polite but when we told them we were checking out early they wouldn’t check us out or give us a receipt. They told me to call the next morning. When I called the hotel the person answering the phone said there was no note about us checking out early. Very aggravating. The neighborhood/location was terrible. There was 5 smashed up cars within the small around the hotel. Two we’re very recent and one car was smashed into a fire hydrant that was spraying water everywhere. On that same block was someone who had 6 large speakers on the sidewalk blasting music which could be heard in our room. The parking behind the hotel was minimal and located right where the cars were smashed up and the blaring music. We checked out within 30 minutes of being there. We almost couldn’t get our car out of the parking lot because other cars had both entrances blocked. My husband, Michael Guimond, immediately booked another hotel room through Booking.com at the Double Tree in Fort Lee.
