The Central Park North

Perfect

It was a good value for the area and presented as described. As a solo female traveler I felt safe and the shared bathrooms were not an issue. The AC wall unit was adequate. A better mattress would have been great but that is often the case in a budget room and extra pillows would have also been helpful to me for the way I need to sleep. But all in all I am more than satisfied with my choice.

This was my first time staying at this space I can’t say I have any complaints. I was there a little earlier because I had to check out of my other hotel that my job scheduled before check-in is not till 3 o’clock, but the receptionist was very kind and let me check in earlier. The room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly very closely located to the train stops and a block away from the Park can’t ask for anything else.

Everything was nice and clean, I really enjoyed my time there and the people was nice. The bed was very comfortable and firm to sleep on. The stairs was a little bit too much for me, but overall everything was good.

Everything was absolutely impeccable. The cleanliness, the room amenities, the comfortable double bed, the quiet atmosphere in the hotel and on the street, and the warm welcome (Thank you PAUL). The location is fantastic (5 minutes from the subway and Central Park). It’s great. We highly recommend this hotel because we stayed for a full week and everything was perfect.

The room was tiny but clean. The communal bathroom was very well maintained. The hotel was very centrally located for what we wanted to do. Air conditioning was perfect. Staff was great. We will stay again but next time bigger room on the ground floor.

The staff was so sweet. They letting us drop off our bags before check in and then we were late to check in so they put our bags in the room for us and sent instructions to get in our room. The property felt safe!!

Subways were nearby and stores, Central Park practically at the doorstep... great location overall and great experience for the price

Easy to get to and everything you need for a quick night or so. Being able to leave our luggage was extra helpful!

Lots of restaurants. Good ac.

If you are looking for a quiet hotel near the metro and Central Park this is your place.

Great place. Great location. When I read shared bathrooms, I panicked. But it’s so clean and so well kept. You can use the bathrooms on any floor. I never had a problem accessing the shower. Rooms we clean and tidy. I’d definitely stay again.

When I have arrived it wasn’t what I expected. Room got randomly hot and the location wasn’t very ideal from how it looked in the picture form the outside. The bed wasn’t clean when i pulled off the sheets.

I reached out to the company via booking to request a refund last minute. I knew it was a long shot, but my son had fallen down the stairs and we’d had a hectic morning filled with fear and uncertainty ending with him having emergency dental work done. I figured it was worth a try— if ever there was a time this was it, right? I submitted the request at 10am and followed up via email as well. My son was released around noon and even though we’d missed our train we could have driven in. Not ideal, but it would have worked. After several hours I just assumed the lack of response was probably indicative of some sort of refund and focused on making my son comfortable. At 8pm I followed up with the hotel and they got back to me at that point that they wouldn’t refund me at all. I followed up requesting they reconsider considering the slow response time. No response. I followed up again the next day, naturally pretty agitated, requesting they consider just a partial refund. The owner responded at this point and proceeded to throw the book at me— all about how i’d “chosen” the reduced non refundable rate (the only option, not a reduced price) and that they didn’t have to do anything for their slow response time because it was in the terms and conditions (I did see when I submitted they had 24 hours to respond, but it was a Wednesday at 10am) and then told me that if I tried to follow through with a refund he would submit records that I’d agreed to the terms— as though I had any choice. This guy (person?) clearly wanted me to understand he (they) had all the power. Anyway, I was hesitant to book this place and figured I’d share this review in case anyone else is also on the fence. It’s 2025, the only power we have is where we spend our money. Don’t give it to this person.
