Kama Central Park Hostel

Place was fine. No skibidi ohio type of place.

I had a nice comfortable stay at Kama.

Clean. Friendly Staff. Rigid reservation policy.

Not worth the price that I paid. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Felt like it was sleeping on there floor. This building has a terrible design and they will make you walk up 5 floors up the stairs to get to your pod. That's right 5 floors of step winding steps. Smelly rooms and no space for much outside of the pods and bathrooms no space and low quality. There are other better hostels in the city or just spend extra for a regular hotel.

Great location, close to Columbus Ave (lots of restaurants!) and to the subway. The sleeping capsules weren't as comfortable as I'd hoped and the fans were noisy.

Great location and cheap price. Fair breakfast included The sliding door tracks were extremely very and full of dust and debris. Stains in bed sheets

Quiet and peaceful. Could be more options for breakfast.

Very small showers. Had to leave clothes outside the door.

Staff and co travelers Stairs to 5th floor

Immaculate place very modern. Great location.

The Staff was very helpful in letting me know that you only stay if you are an out of town person. So unfortunately I couldn’t stay here, but for what I saw it looked and very well kept. That I didn’t have the chance to experience the property.

The breakfast kitchen was too small - will be better to move it on the same floor as the reception.

Awesome location right near Central Park on the Upper West Side. Super comfy beds, nice that there is a 6-bed female dorm option with own bathroom. Everything was super clean and staff were helpful and friendly. Reasonably priced with a solid breakfast. Great if you want to see the sights at an affordable cost. Wifi did not work great in the bedroom (slow), although it worked downstairs just fine. I came from Canada and had loads of mobile data so it was not an issue - but could have been if I came from somewhere else. There should be a small shelf in the pods even if foldable. But overall nothing to critique really.

Location was great. It was right by Central Park. It was right by the subway. Walking distance to major stores and food. Perfect. I liked my pod. Comfy. Functional. Spacious. I also liked that they had several areas for me to chill with and without my card access. I didn't like that their coffee shop Vending machine was out of order. Accessing water in that place was scarce. It felt like if you didn't have a water bottle to refill it in the drinking fountain, which seemed a little worn out, to be honest. I most definitely didn't like that I was on the third floor and there was no elevator to assist me with all of my luggage and accessories. I also felt like room service or cleaning service could have helped clean or give me new sheets or new towels. I requested it and no one did such a thing.
